Just finished Doom Eternal. Overall it's a pretty good game but i definitely had highs and lows. I actually stopped playing the game a few months ago cuz of the platforming, just didnt click with me and really put me off. After playing a few platform games i guess i got used to it because it hasn't been an issue since I picked it back up. I do have to say that this is a difficult game and although sometimes I had no problems replaying the same level multiple times the frustration did come in with the mauraders and big groups. There was a big difficulty spike after getting the BFG as well. Overall though the game looks amazing, gunplay is out of this world and the story was actually decent. Would highly recommend playing it.
@Krzzystuff Well, that is the game you were talking about, so....
I will. It's on the list of games. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is really time consuming obviously, and then I'm finally going to play Gears 5 (ridiculously late, I know), but then maybe after that.

@KilloWertz dude i haven't finished Gears UE yet! My progress didn't carry over from the PC so i have to restart it. Playing Allan Wake at the moment and then I'll jump back into Battlefield 1 campaign to get that of the SSD to make room for Gears perhaps. I think in also going to finish all the remaining race's in FH4 and give that the boot for Dirt 5.
@Krzzystuff Just started playing Forza Horizon 4 as my change of pace game to Valhalla. Fond memories of the original Gears back on the 360 I believe. I downloaded Alan Wake since it's our "Game of the Month' here, but likely won't have time to play it before the end of the month. I'd rather take my time with it since I've never played it before, so it goes in the virtual pile.
Maybe invest in an external drive if you don't want to pay for the Seagate card? That way you wouldn't have to worry about having to delete games to make room.

This is one of the reasons why I love Game Pass; I would’ve never played this game if it weren’t for GP. I thought that this was mainly an online co-op focused game, but I read on this site that it also works well to play solo, so I figured I’d try it out since it launched on Game Pass.
It turns out I really enjoyed the gameplay, and it’s no problem at all to play solo. However, I didn’t like the story and especially not the characters. It’s like they went out of their way to make every character unlikeable. And I didn’t like the sound either, it was just constantly overly bombastic and it just made my ears tired. So I just turned the sound off and skipped most of the cutscenes, and just enjoyed the gameplay.
I hope Game Pass will bring more pleasant surprises lile this
I just finished injustice 2 and man it was a great story. There are two endings so i will play it again to see how the other one goes. Not too long of a game so i can commit to doing it again, it's not something i normally do. Even if you're not into fighting games I'd recommend playing it on easy for the story alone.
Just finished Destroy All Humans on Xbox One. Decided to play through this one now since it was added to Game Pass. I've actually had this game on my to-buy list but now I'm glad that I could just play through it on Game Pass since I realised this wasn't worth buying. I just didn't find it to be anything special, it was certainly fun but the missions felt mediocre most of the time and the game could very quickly get repetitive. It certainly had its charm though. Anyway, I would've probably disliked the game even more if I'd paid money for it, so I'm glad that I didn't.
@IndoorHero Same here. I was actually compelled to buy it because it's a remake of an old game and I love to try out all kinds of different franchises, especially older ones. But as soon as I started playing it, I could already tell that the game design is really outdated and the remake suffers as a result despite it feeling like a new game. Menial objectives, stealth missions, poor checkpoint system where if you fail you'll have to restart entire sections and so on. So yeah, this is a "perfect" game for Game Pass as I did want to play through it, I just didn't want to pay for it.
@LtSarge@IndoorHero I'm just trying to finish off the end game boss and I've enjoyed my play through of this one. I was going to buy it as I got it when it originally came out (original Xbox if I remember correctly?) but I'm happy to not have to pay for it.
I've not really had an issue with check points or outdated gameplay, although a minor frustration is the tractor beam mechanic and not getting it to work correctly.
Hopefully I can get the end boss beaten tonight and finish the game.
I just finished Korgan, it's a free game in the MS store, and it was pretty enjoyable. It's a Diablo like game and it's just three quick world's that are included in the free campaign. There is a multiplayer i believe but I didn't try it. It's about 2 hours to finish and get the 1000 GS if you're doing the 10K punchcard. It's really got me wanting to play more dungeon crawlers now so that's not good.... I'm already struggling with my backlog.... gamepass is the worst! Thankfully Xbox has no games otherwise it would be a much larger problem.
Trying to Finish Fallout 4 but it's constantly crashing. I've given up and started playing Ratchet and Clank on the PS5 before the new one comes out. I think i'm going to delete Fallout 4 and just give up ever completing it. I've played through it 3 times now and never got further than getting into the institute and meeting..you know.
Just finished The Walking Dead: Season Two. Man the final episode was just harsh, but at the same time it felt like the developer just wanted to wrap things up quickly. Like it didn't feel like you had much influence in your actions anymore compared to the rest of the game. Everything just happened on rails, which I guess was necessary to finish up the story but still.
Besides this, I really enjoyed the game overall. I've actually already played it back in 2015 or 2016 on PS4 when it was offered on PS+. I decided to revisit it now partly because of achievements but also because I wanted to refresh my memory of what has happened so far in order to prepare myself for the third season. And I'm really glad that I replayed it. These are just so well-crafted games and I'm actually glad that I didn't play through all of them back in the day because I wouldn't have appreciated them at the time. Back in 2015 I mostly played games for the gameplay and not for the story. It wasn't until I started playing JRPGs like Persona 4 Golden in 2016 when I finally started to truly appreciate stories in video games. Which is apparent now since I barely cared about Walking Dead Season Two back then, but now I was absolutely absorbed by the story and I love the game. Can't wait to start up the third season next!
I just finished walking dead season 1. Since i played these ass backwards and started with the last season first by accident i liked seeing the beginning of Clementine. Overall a great story as usual with the taletell games. Still debating if i jump into season 2 and finish off the story or change to something different to switch things up.
Not played anything these last 2 weeks due to working away from home (and dial-up speed wifi meant no xcloud either) so decide to jump into something quick and easy over the weekend to boost my Gamerscore for this months challenge.
Finished the achievements I still needed on NHL Rewind which took me way longer than it should've due to me being terrible at it and my muscle memory refusing to believe I wasn't trying to play PES! Note to self - you cannot sprint with the triggers in this game and Y doesn't play a through ball/puck.
Also started and finished Donut County. Only took maybe 2-3 hours to complete and then went back re-play a few stages to mop up the achievements. Really enjoyed it despite being so short; I feel like the length was about right though as it would've got pretty repetitive if it had gone on much longer. Some genuinely funny moments in the dialog between characters in the cut scenes too; especially BK the racoon. Only slight disappointment is that there doesn't seem to be any replay value at all - no timed mode or challenges or anything like that.
Just finished Final Fantasy XV this weekend. I'll keep my thoughts general on it, so as not to reveal any spoilers.
Overall I really enjoyed the game; it's not the best Final Fantasy on Xbox in my opinion (or other platforms for that matter!) but graphically it looks great, especially the visuals during the boss fights; and I really loved the soundtrack. Performance-wise, Series X is a great way to play it, and didn't see any framerate drops below 60FPS during my 27-hour playthrough.
I can see the complaints with the gameplay, i.e. it's easy to potion spam your way through battles; and some of the side quests can be a bit tedious... but overall, really enjoyed it and was a solid game for me!
Recently I finished up observation before it left gamepass. It was an old school sci-fi movie...but a game. Wasn't the greatest but I did enjoy it at the same time. I just finished Halo CE with my brother and man was that a great campaign. We will be carrying on into 2 next week and plan is to be done with the series in time for Infinite.
Just finished the free Space Jam game from GPU and it took me about 40-50 minutes. Pretty fun game and I managed to get 450 G in that time, which is pretty good actually. I don't feel compelled to get the rest though since the game can get fairly challenging. But overall it's definitely worth giving it a go for one playthrough.
Just finished The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. This was easily the best Telltale Walking Dead game I've played. While there were more memorable moments in the first two seasons, you just felt more of a badass in the third season. More action, more grand set-pieces and more events on a greater scale. Further, Javier was such a cool protagonist and I'm impressed the developer managed to switch out Clementine like that while still making everything feel natural. She was still around for the most of the time but I'm still glad that we got to play as a different character with a different backstory and all around different characters surrounding him. It made this season feel like a breath of fresh air instead of another chapter of Clementine's life. Not to mention that I actually cared about most of the characters this time around. Although I do have to say that I miss having the choice of saving someone show up more often. It didn't show up as much in this season compared to the second one and so the choices in this game felt overall less impactful.
All in all though, this was a phenomenal game and I can't wait to play the final season and see how Clementine's story ends. It's too bad the last season isn't on Game Pass, so I guess I'll be playing the Michonne game next.
