Hey hey,
Just spied my Gamerscore is about 73k, and a friend of mine has 83k and is constantly above me in the 30 Day Leaderboard. So, I'm going to take on a bit of a challenge and try to get to 100k by the end of the year. At his rate of earning points, he won't get there by December 31st, so I'll finally be ahead (after 10 years!)
I've got 26,558 Gamerscore to get in 8 months, so I make that about 3,320 per month. Shouldn't be SO difficult, I wouldn't imagine.
Anybody want to join me and set themselves a bit of a target for 2015?
So far my target has been about duration of streak, I was aiming for a year of getting at least 1 achievement a day. Currently I'm on 342 days, 1191 achievements. http://www.trueachievements.com/Red620Ti.htm
I'll try and get to 100K by the end of the year too, starting at 77,860.

Don't you ever get sick of gaming? That means you've played a game basically every day for a year. Some days I just need a break lol
I'd prefer a different challenge.. 4 100% - full price (1000 point) games by year end. I'll have a go at the 100k as well but I take forever to play games (I've spent the last WEEK getting just 1 achievement lol) and I'm playing DS2 so two months =' a couple of hundred gs for me.
I want to take part in this, but the fact that I regularly game on every console (even retro ones) makes it hard to focus on sending my Gamerscore score up as high as I'd like it to go. Realistically, I'd like to hit the 75,000 mark so I can reach Master status on Xbox Live Rewards. Shouldn't be too hard, really, since I'm somewhere around 51,000 now. So, yeah, I guess that's my goal.

Yeah, it would be interesting to see what my Gamerscore would be if I didn't spend such as much time on PS4/Wii U/Vita/3DS.

Not just played, played until I got at least one achievement! Some are easy, like the new characters in Killer Instinct, but I'm hooked on DS2 now, so I may struggle somewhat.

I'd like to get to 75,000 just because of the Rewards status but as I am at (nearly) 45,000 I can't see that happening by the end of the year. That is at least 30 games and as some achievements are of no interest, its likely to take a lot more than that.

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
I don't think I can join the 100k club as I'm not quite at 50k after several YEARS of gaming on Xbox. I am trying to get to 50% overall achievement completion though...currently at 48.2%
You don't stop gaming because you get old, you get old because you stop gaming.
Climbing up....I'm on 4k earned over the last 30 days.
Still gonna be tough to pick up that 100k by the end of 2015, but I'm enjoying trying. It's getting me to play games that are on my hard drive that I haven't really given enough time to, at the very least
I'll be honest and say that I wasn't really bothered about my Gamerscore, which is why I've only picked up about 7,500GS per year on average
But it's kinda fun with some games - encourages you to try new modes that you maybe otherwise wouldn't have touched, or to play on a little bit longer and get more out of it. Of course, that's if the game doesn't have godawful achievement design...

I try in general to get the achievements if it fits in with what I want from the game. If I am playing the campaign and there are level/mission challenges, I will try and get them whilst playing through and I am always chasing down every possible collectibles. Something like Tomb Raider though also has MP based Achievements which are of no interest so that game will never be 100% on the achievements. If some Achievements are ridiculous like complete the game on an insane difficulty setting without dying once, then I am unlikely to bother going for those either. I don't think I have many games that I have every achievement.

I used to love trying to earn as many achievements as possible. But over the past four years now it's been more about moving on to the next game as quickly as possible rather than trying to fully complete games. Plus, I'm in the same boat as Dave where I'm playing games on every console which makes it really hard to pile on the achievements. However, I am more focused on just PC and Xbox gaming now with some Wii U on the side.
I'm currently sitting at 38,412 Gamerscore. I think it would be awesome to hit 50,000 by the end of this year. I've been hanging out in the 30,000's for far too long now.
