@Krzzystuff yeah, for the past few days I've been completely unable to join an online Horizon session and keep getting the same error message. The weird thing is that joining online races and events still works fine; it's just the online freeroamimg that it refuses to connect to.
@VenomousAlbino hmmm I'll have to see if I can join the races. I reported the issue with Forza and they said it's a known issue they are working on since the last update. i don't remember this happening before so i guess it's true.
@Krzzystuff come to think of it, the problems did start for me after downloading the Super7 update, so that tracks.
I'm not too bothered, as I can still do all the Festival activities (just got the Spring daily challenges to do and I'll get the achievement for doing everything across a Festival playlist 😃). Although one annoying thing is that if you're not in an online session the game populates the world with Drivatars, which wouldn't be an issue except that you don't ghost through them like you do with actual players unless you're doing a PR stunt. I've crashed into these bloody Drivatars so much it's not even funny.
The new FH4 update is quite good! I just jumped in and completed the seasonal tournament to get the new C8 Corvette.
It's so different. Looks more like a Ferrari than a Corvette, and it has a mid mounted engine, so it's not a traditional Corvette AT ALL. Nevertheless, I like it a lot and I'm glad it's in the game. Handles really well stock with no mods.

@urrutiap replying to your new topic in an existing thread...
I assume you mean Horizon 4 and Motorsport 7?
I love Horizon 4 because it's genuinely fun, it's open world and there are loads of crazy races across fields, farms and other UK inspired landscapes. I had a quick go on Motorsport 7 when it joined game pass and couldn't get into it really. It seemed a lot more realistic and less nuts than Horizon. Both are on game pass though if you have that service, you can try both.
I'm going to change the title of this thread so it becomes an all around thread for both the Horizon and Motorsport series.
@urrutiap hey I didn't mean to correct you. I was just clarifying what you meant so I could give you an answer. There is obviously a Forza Motorsport 4 that is probably backwards compatible so I wanted to make sure you meant Horizon 4 and not Motorsport 4.
Trust me, nothing elitist about it. I'm a bottom rung of the ladder guy. But yeah, I gave my opinion on which game I prefer. Maybe someone else has a different opinion 👍
Anyway back on topic here. I have always preferred the Horizon series more because of the arcade feeling to it. I also like the more open world feel. Motorsport is to much of a sim for me which isn't bad just not my cup of tea.

well whats the difference between Forza Horizon and Motorsport especially where Forza 4 and Forza "Motorsport" 7 are the more current X Box One racing games?
like i said, i havent played a racing game since Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 for my Gamecube 15 or 16 years ago
@urrutiap of go Horizon personally as it's more fun vs simulation. If you're not a gamepass subscriber get the $1 3 month deal, try out both and if you don't want to stay subscribed buy the game you want at a discount from gamepass...it for whatever reason it's not already on sale that week.
Got back into Horizon 3 after not playing it for a few months due to playing other games and such. It amazes me still how relaxing this game is. Just one question is there and ending to FH3 or is it just a matter of getting everything?

@Tasuki I'm not sure about 3, I couldn't work out if there was an ending to 4.... I just sort of ran out of stuff to do and I couldn't work out if there was a way to trigger more events to spring up. Maybe it's similar in 3? I'm interested to know the answer so hopefully somebody else replies
@Tasuki Yes and no. If you completed all the festivals, found all the hidden cars, won all the races, crossed off all the side-quests and finished both DLC packs, then it's basically finished objective-wise, but seeing as it's an open world, always online game, people are still racing each other both in the main game and in the DLC expansion packs to this day, so in that respect, the game is never finished. Well, at least: not until Microsoft pulls the plug on the servers...
I personally don't own 4, but I would assume that pretty much the same is true about that edition.

@ThanosReXXX good stuff cheers, is there like a list in the game or something? I know you can sort of see what's crossed off on the map but I guess would be concerned that there is stuff not showing up on the map because it hasn't been unlocked...
@ralphdibny@ThanosReXXX Thanks for the responses. I figured as much that there's always something to do but wasn't sure if there was a story ending so to speak.
I guess call it OCD but when I play games in a series I like to finish one before I go to the next one mainly due to the possibility of links in the story and such.
Good to know that's not the case.

@Tasuki same here to be honest! I also favour release order over chronological order unless I'm replaying a series. Weirdly though, Horizon 4 is the first Forza I ever played because it came with my Xbox, I didn't get Horizon 3 until its final sale before it got taken down off the store
