My problem is that I cannot build anymore at certain settlements. There must be a maximum number of items that you can place, BUT it seems to differ from settlement to settlement. My thriving metropolis of Sanctuary will let me build away (although in my attempt to make a skyscraper, I found the vertical build limit), but at The Castle, I could barely build anything at all before it told me that I couldn't build anymore items. I actually had to scrap some of the prefabbed lighting and wiring that was nicely laid just to make the quest-specific defenses.
I also REALLY wish they would have included a way to manage all your settlers from one place and another menu to manage all of your settlements (especially supply routes). I'm so tired of assigning people that are standing around to do something and then seeing food, etc. drop because they were already assigned but stuck on the landscape. If Bethesda did that in lieu of an expansion, I would be okay with it!
Oh, and has anyone else had their settlers walk off with a suit of power armor while they were building? I had a provisioner walk off with mine and he would not get out of the armor, so I had to strip all the parts and let him wander the wasteland in the frame!

@Falco1863: Take the power core out when you get out of your kit, then they leave it alone.
Lol at the drive in, if it gets attacked, the settlers raid my storage boxes for weapons!
Thanks for the tip! I ended up just stashing all of my power armors behind a barrier that I can jump over, but the settlers can't get past. I have, I currently have 46 or 48 power cores anyway, so I'll just have to say that guy was the "one that got away"!

@Red620Ti: As I posted earlier, I went Brotherhood first time through. Haven't got a clue what I'm gonna do with this character. I've barely had time to play this week so haven't gotten much into it again. Been watching Barry play more than playing myself. He's an "explorer" and barely touches the story but is roaming the map... Some pretty great random encounters uncovered!
Finished the game today, and went full on evil megalomaniac.... Mwah hah hah!
Still exploring all over the place, found part of an XO1 power armour at the bottom of an outpost in the Glowing Sea. Only a frame, a torso and a left leg, but better than a kick in the bollocks!

I've gone power armor free on this play through, Ninja mode. It's the dogs danglies. Nailing a deathclaws with a 10mm pistol whilst taking zero damage takes some beating.
You know you've played too much fallout when....
You grab the duct tape as you walk past saying 'that's useful'.
You make your partner carry all the shopping.
You look at your wrist when trying to figure out what to do next..
Any others?
I beat the game and am at level 101 or 102, and am going to start my second play through in hopes of getting a couple of achievements that I've missed. I'm just waiting for the DLC now!!!!!!!

Okay...I'm gonna have to ask. Where do you get all the power cores? I burned through two before I realised they ran out (I dont think they did on Fallout3). I've got two more - one at 70% and one 100%...but I've left my armour sitting on the rack at the settlement (without the core). I don't want to get stranded without power so am 'roughing' it with basic armour stolen from raiders, etc.
I'm also out of minigun ammo (think its 5mm) and cannot find any on traders.
Dump the mini gun and park the armor until you have enough stuff to use them. Reroll a new character and become a stealth God by maxing agility. All you need then is a silenced pistol. There are cores all over the place in buildings, you just have to explore (or use the Internet to look them up. You will soon start to find better armor (and better power armor) but the stealth ninja is the OP build and is extremely resource light for upgrades (you only really need to upgrade one SPECIFIC pistol and a snotty for those oh shit moments.
@sorethumbed: Thanks for the tips. I've been building the Intelligence stat so that I could level up faster, but I'm still relatively new in the game (lvl 11). I've been exploring the local area and doing a lot of clearing scrap, etc. Just ventured out to Diamond City so maybe I'll explore that part of the map now.
