Hi All! I'm very excited that Elite: Dangerous is coming to Xbox One - the space trading game has come along in leaps and bounds since it's announcement as a PC centric space-flight sim. I must admit that I was pretty despondent when both Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous were PC only so this can only be good. Currently there is no way to add more Topics in the Games section of the forum, so for now I have created this thread where we can talk about Elite - past, present and future, what factions you are going to align with, what ships you are excited to fly, what role you will take on. While we wait for the game to drop on console take a look at Galnet. Every day Frontier Developments release news from the galaxy in small bite-sized chunks. Not only does this provide background lore for the game but it also tells you important in-game events such as planets where you could get better prices for your cargo or where to sign up for battles. A recent example is the creation of a "Silk Road" - a group of major star ports between which you are protected by both NPCs and real players from the threat of piracy.

Hi Des, I got the game in the sale last week cause I thought it looked pretty coool but... agh I'm at a total loss due to the controls! I just can't seem to figure them out and I feel so faily. Do you have any tips/help? I'd really appreicate it

@shadowhive I haven't been on Elite in ages but I can do what I can to help. What advice do you need?

Thanks @DesiccantOwl I'm so bad at figuring out the controls, especially travelling. Every time I think I've got it I either overshoot or come out too early, even on the tutorial thing. I'm determined to figure it out but I think I just need help to do it
