Yeah, you may want to come back to that area. You CAN easily nail the first boss there from range with a bow though. But you MIGHT not want to do that ๐๐๐๐
@crippyd it's open world, go where you like. The forest is just a tad easier to ease you into the game. The first (but not the second) boss in there is fairly easy. Luckily, you can avoid the second boss in there (for a while). The place where you met the Oirish lady is a kind of a hub.
@sorethumbed thanks for your tips too. I'm on the last boss on DS1, which I've been playing since January last year, so I've had a wee bit of practice Hopefully this one will be a bit easier with the skills learnt from the first one?
So, how do I get my health bar back up to full after dying? I've levelled up a few times and that hasn't done it. Also tried using estus and the life crystal things.
@Utena-mobile Thanks for the info. I think I've got about 4 or 5 of the effigies at the moment. I found a couple in corpses and had a couple drop when I've killed the undead.
Just beat my first boss! Last giant guy and wandered on and found another (the pursuer?) and he kicked me all over the place. Any tips on him? I'm level 24 (I think), level 20 strength, about 13 green bar and I'm using a mace that I picked up which I've upgraded a few times (plus 3 if I remember correctly) and that does about 200 damage.
Theres a giant kind of crossboww if I remember rightly, at the back of the area. Get him to charge where the arrow hits, and while he recovers, hit him with an arrow from it. Does major damage~!
You will fight the pursuer a couple of times. For an easy(ish) kill, don't fight him where you probably first saw him (just go back down the ladder and he goes away) but the second time you see him.
Run forwards to just in front of the ballista on the right and riposte him. Run round him and hit him with the ballista (takes out most of his health) and makes him easier.
It takes a couple?.. Of tries to get the timing/exact spot down pat and the riposte timing. When you get it, it's a good cheap kill. Once you go past him, there is some really good (hidden) stuff, look it up online.
I can't as probably too high level. What level are you? I could try to bang in a new character to get up to the level you are at. Here is a link to a video showing you how to get a cheap kill.
I'm level 32. I'll check the video and see if I can pull it off. I have got him down to about an inch of health by just hitting and dodging but I'm getting frustrated and want to move on.
