I like to lie my consoles down horizontal but it doesn't seem like the new Xbox Series X Brooklin console lies that way based off the picture in the link below. It's shaped like a cylinder and the sides seem too narrow to lie it down horizontal. What do you think, do you think it would be able to lie down horizontal? Should I worry about this because it wouldn't fit being vertically in the space of my TV stand that I want to put it.
I did wonder if it was an actual cylinder as we haven't seen the back of it. Articles say it's a cylinder but is that just assumed because of what the picture looks like? Or does it say it in one of the leaked documents? You can sort of see the top of it in the pic but it's hard to tell
Could be a semi-cylinder with a completely flat back or it could even have the footprint of a droplet allowing it to be sat on one flat side with cables coming out it's perpendicular flat side with only the rounded edge visible at the front
Who knows but it definitely seems a bit too tall to be cylindrical, like it would topple too easily. I suspect it will change moderately before release anyway.
@DarthMaster09 it may well be as @ralphdibny suggested as we have pretty much only seen one angle of it (and it most likely is not the final design) but they can as well do a stand like PS5 has. It would be a huge marketing flaw to say you need to have it vertical!
