Topic: Playing games off of expansion storage

I have been looking at getting some expansion storage for my Series X. I keep seeing reviews that you can't play games off some of the expansion storage.

Is there any expansion storage that will allow me to play from the storage?

@trekr200 hi, you can play Xbox one and older games off any external hard drive that you can plug in via USB. However, games that are optimised/ made for for Series X need to run off one of the SSD’s. https://www.xbox.com/en-GB/accessories/hard-drives/seagate-ex...

@BowsersBuddy You know if you didn't use that ignore system, for whatever reason you did. You would have saw that I said that already and your post is redundant.

@Antdickens Maybe for help threads the ignore feature should be disabled otherwise there are going to be alot of repeat postings.

I use the expansion card to run games I currently play, and have my other games installed in usb external drives and just move them onto the card if I want to play them . The transfer rate is very good
