Topic: Diablo II: Resurrected --OT--

The open beta starts in a few days and we can predownloaded it now from the MS store.

I for one am very excited to play this game as it's the only game in the series I haven't played. I played the first one a ton on Playstation one back in the day and of course I played a ton of Diablo III. From what I have heard and read this is the best game in the series so I am eager to play it I am just hoping that Blizzard doesn't mess this one up like they did the Remaster of Warcraft III.

@Tasuki we had fun with the beta the first few days were rough as we couldn't get in the same group for most of it. They seemed to iron that out and we were able to on the last day. the game was fun and the controls worked really well my one complaint is wow that inventory is really restrictive. I wished they would have updated that.

@VisitingComet1 Yeah I remember how restricted the inventory was in Diablo and how it was the same way in Diablo 3 when it first launched. I really prefer the slot method for inventory over the grid method but I can understand not changing it for D2 like they did with 3.

I have to say I'm kind of excited they remastered Diablo 2 as it was the best one in the series.

However I'm also conflicted on all these remasters of older games. Why don't these gaming companies just make new ones. It's like they don't have the energy to come up with new ideas on their own. They take the lazy road.

So before I purchase this game I am wondering if anyone can confirm do I need a Battle.net account to play this game?? When I tried the Beta a few weeks ago it said I needed one but, I am not sure if the retail version needs one.

Anyone else having problems? I am in character creation but I keep getting a connection error when I try to finalize my characters name.
