It won't be too long now until we open the votes for the Pure Xbox Game of the Year 2023 award, but before then, we wanted to take a step back and think about some of the titles have received the best ongoing support this year.
Surprisingly, there aren't any Xbox first-party titles in the "Best Ongoing" category at The Game Awards 2023, and we really think that's a shame! So many games have been pushing out excellent updates this year, such as Sea Of Thieves, Grounded, Microsoft Flight Simulator, State of Decay 2, Age of Empires IV and Halo Infinite.
If you're wondering, the five games that are up for "Best Ongoing" at The Game Awards are Apex Legends, Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy XIV, Fortnite and Genshin Impact, all of which make total sense and are viable winners, but we're still of the opinion there was room for at least one Xbox first-party game in the mix there.
Anyway, let's forget about The Game Awards for now - which Xbox game do you think deserves the "Best Ongoing Support" award for 2023? Has Halo Infinite impressed you this year? What about Redfall's turnaround? Tell us below.

i’d say sea of thieves deserve it most despite it not being a flagship title
I voted for Redfall as its needs support and more of it… make it a great game! 2023 saw some support … but much more in 2024 please
Halo Infinite for me. That game keeps improving every step it takes.
Halo Infinite is just starting to hit their stride. Sea of Thieves has been pumping out new seasons and content all year long.
Halo is probably the best multiplayer game available right now. It deserves to be nominated. 343 have a great game going.
Elder scrolls online and fallout 76 are also great picks for best ongoing.
Xbox/bethesda seems to have a knack for long term support.
Halo Infinite went from being a joke to probably one of the best online shooters. Some great free cosmetics, a ton of modes added, new maps… all good stuff.
Halo, honestly. It’s improved a lot since release and honestly, you can’t say that about many other current mp fps titles. I actually want to keep going back to Infinite at this point. It’s impressive how it’s evolved its way out of the gutter it had previously dug itself into.
Rare with Sea of Thieves. Easy.
Released a good game and have only made it better since.
I'm not actively or regularly playing any of these at the moment so my knowledge is limited, but from the outside looking in I'd say Grounded or Flight Simulator.
redfall, the updates has made it the great game it is today. im proud of these folks. redfall pride!
Whilst most of these make 'sense' in the fact that the main part of their support and overturning potential criticism into what players 'hoped' it could be was the 'Live Service' element - its a shame that some had to start from trying to get their game to 'expected' launch status so kudos for 'post launch' fixes and/or adding missing features promised - eventually - is not what I consider great post launch support - its fixing what should have been the launch experience - now let them give us some great post launch content....
I'm wondering why AOE2 isn't on this list. It just received a big update. It's certainly the longest supported.
While we're at it, how about a Worst Supported title. Which is safe to declare is Redfall.
Voted for Halo Infinite. Keep up the momentum and surprise us with the release of Couch-Co-Op. Yeah I know it's not happening but what a treat if it did....
Easily Halo Infinite for me. After took so long to fix the technical debt, improvements and content are coming thick and fast. It's an amazing game right now and should only get better.
Halo Infinite is having a true revival.
But my vote is for State of Decay 2, with major updates like Infestations improvement, and Curveballs.
Not a first party game but the work Hello Games have put into No Man's Sky is unbelievable
