The weekend begins! There's lots to enjoy on Xbox over the next couple of days, including some new Xbox Game Pass additions, a couple more Free Play Days titles, a free beta for Off The Grid, and plenty of great deals to grab!

I'm once again in one of those situations where I can't actually talk about what I'm playing this weekend. I'm enjoying my time with [REDACTED] so far though, and look forward to sharing my review of it hopefully next week
Beyond that, I'm very keen to check out these new Baldur's Gate 3 mods and I've also got some more NHL 25 to dig into, so there's plenty for me to keep busy with. Football Manager 2024 is still getting my attention on PC Game Pass as well — I'll definitely play the new one in November, but I'm not giving up my 2024 save anytime soon!

So many games, so little time this weekend. But I will find an hour or two for Metaphor: Refantazio. Have you tried the demo yet? The music absolutely slaps! And I can already tell I'ma be obsessed with the story.
Normally, this is where I’d mention what else I’ll be playing, but honestly, it’s just going to be Metaphor. However, if the gang's around, I might hop onto Pro Clubs on FC 25. Our team’s Lord of the Rings themed—we're called Gondor United, and our formation? “Four-For-Frodo.” - comedy gold, innit?

Beat Mr Mosquito and Secret Agent Clank on Ps5 last week, including the platinum for Mosquito. Also beat Mega Man III on Switch/NSO.
Currently playing The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice.
The plan is to start something for spooky month after. Maybe the original Ps2 Silent Hill 2 Director’s Cut or Luigi’s Mansion 3 on Switch.
This weekend is all about continuing Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance on PS5 for me.
Maybe I will continue my replay of SIFU too(played through it back when it first released on PS4 and honestly, the game is just as amazing as it was back then) on Xbox and I may also play more Pizza Tower on Switch.
Mafia is getting some play time for me, really enjoying it.
And finally sinking some time into Zelda, Wind Waker. A bit late I know.

Been messing around with some mods in Baldurs Gate 3. There are some nice UI improvements that give you some extra useful info. I did also get a new Mystic class mod that has been fun to try.
I am excited to see more race / class mods coming in future & this has the potential to be as big or bigger than Skyrim in terms of mods.
This probably wont be a full run through of BG3 as i will be playing the new dlc for Diablo 4 early next week and that will distract me from all others game for a few weeks i expect.

Recently finished:
Shattered Space DLC. Enjoyed everything it had to offer. There are some things I wished would have been there but nothing to complain about. If you liked the base game I'm sure you will like Shattered Space as well.
I also played the Metaphor demo and it seems great!

Picked up the Crysis trilogy remastered on sale a few weeks back, so I'll be working through the original this weekend
I think this weekend I’ll try to wrap up my backlogged games for the year. I’ve sort of put off Plucky Squire, Quidditch Champions, and that Rugrats game, so maybe, if time permits, I should try to blitz through them all. I’m halfway through Plucky, the Rugrats game is pretty short already, and Quidditch Champions… I just haven’t played much of it because September was so busy. I’ve backlogged Wukong and Banishers too, but I’ll save those ones for later, I think. I don’t know if I’ll ever actually come back to either of them, if I’m to be honest. I do like them both, but I don’t really have the desire to play them. Astro Bot sort of reminded me what it feels like to be genuinely interested in playing a game for fun, and most of that backlog doesn’t have that special novelty to me, I suppose.
So yeah… what that means is that I’ll probably play Vampire Survivors til Silent Hill and Sparking Zero come out next week. Sounds about right.
DC Universe Online for the first time. + Starfield
Squeezed in some AC Mirage before everyone else got up this morning. Really liking the pace and vibe.
Thinking about dipping into Dragon Age Inquisition when I’m next free. I know it’s a behemoth but I’ve listened to some podcasts around the quests and am curious.
I’ve found dead space remake, amazing game

I beat Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom a couple days ago. Great game!
Last night I hopped back into Pokemon: Xenoverse and got the third gym badge. This will be my main game for the weekend.
On Series X, the big update to BG3 has given me the urge to do a Dark Urge run, but first I’ll finish up with Last of Us part 1 on PS5.
Some Skyrim on the Steam Deck, trying to get myself back into FFVII Rebirth so I can actually finish it, but Zelda Echoes of Wisdom is taking up the majority of my game time.
I'm trying to finish Flintlock before my Game Pass suscription expires and honestly it's really good.
A little janky here and there but I'm enjoying it a lot.
Astro Bot - still makes me smile every second I play this amazing game. Just a few levels and some trophies left now 🥲
Road 96 - finished and platinumed. Some good bits and an interesting game where you play as different teenagers meeting the same people over different chapters where each chapter is one teenagers journey to Road 96. Enjoyed it quite a bit overall but its not Life is Strange good.
Terminator Resistance Enhanced - recently watched Terminator 1&2 (great movies) with the son and when I saw the game on sale I had to get it. Its fun in an old school kind of way, dont need to things too much and blasting T-800s are great. Playing it reminds me of playing Fallout but without VATS, and mutants and… still, not a bad thing and I will continue to enjoy this game later this evening 🙂
Replayed Far Cry 5. Game is such a mixed bag for me. I’ve completed it 3 times now. The setting, gunplay, and outpost design are so immersive. The story presentation, side characters, and music aren’t my favorite.
Have almost finished Star Wars Outlaws. The last couple of missions - which are heavy on stealth - are starting to drag. On the whole though I have enjoyed the game. UPDATE Doesn’t look like I’m going to finish it. I’m literally right near the end of the game - “Revelator” mission - and my game has bugged 😡 I’m stuck in space, can’t fast travel anywhere, can’t use hyperdrive…so annoying. It’s quite ironic because I’ve hardly seen any bugs in my play through, then right at the end 🙄
I finally caved this week and bought Space Marine 2. Never played the first one, but am enjoying this one so far. Graphics are really nice too, even in performance mode.
I’ve finished the bulk of Astro bot on PS5, just finishing the mini levels and mopping up missed bots on some of the main levels. Really good game, though don’t agree with Edge magazine’s 10/10 score.
Am thinking of pulling the trigger on Parcel corps. Looks like a fun indie game, though the price - £30 - has surprised me a bit, so might wait for a sale.
Have also downloaded the trial of EAFC 25. Haven’t played FIFA/EAFC in years so am a bit rusty 😂

I've just started Like a Dragon:Ishin! on Xbox. Great combat and narrative.
Borderlands 3 (Series X) Continuing with my playthrough with my son. Just hit level 20 on my Siren and he's playing Fl4k. Not a huge step up from 2 as I would have liked but it's still enjoyable.
Diablo IV (PC) Now that I finished WoW I was thinking of starting up Diablo IV especially given the time of year it it. Just quite not sure what class I want to play.
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (Switch) It's that time of year again, the leaves have began to change color, the nights are longer and that means only one thing Castlevania. This year I will be going a playthrough of Portrait of Ruin and hopefully beating it. My favorite of the DS Castlevania's.
Elden ring as usual need to beat the last boss still but getting some secondary bosses done first then hopefully beat the final boss then onto the dlc and I'll jump on eafc24 and Master chief collection halo 4 most likely as well and possibly Dead rising 3 if the mood strikes me

After I platiniumed the "Code Vein" I play "Rime" this weekend.
Finally finished the campaign for the first time in Diablo 4, ready for the new dlc.
Also finished Astrobot, which is every bit as good as everyone says it is 😊
I tried some Revenant 2 last night and might continue that today, but Im still struggling to finish Black Wukong. Tbh, Im still trying to get out of chapter 2 after 48 hours, so Im making hard work of it!

Playing Starfield - and not the expansion. The fact the game is so massive and has so much to do all of the time means it remains my best game of 2023 and still it 2024 as well.
Space is massive! Thats the whole point and Bethesda have nailed it. I really don’t get some, in fact any of the hate this games gets.
Really hope they remake dead space 2.

Well here we go with another stunning WAYP. Been a nice and awesome week around here. Most of the week was just the usual games like Dawntrail and Plucky Squire. Most of the weekend when not working was taken up by The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom and more Astro Bot. Zelda is absolutely honestly a GOTY contender I can’t think of a more fun and exciting and soothing game I’ve played this year than this one it’s genuinely one of a kind and absolutely worth it. And much the same can be said of Astro Bot that game continues to be a fun and surprising time all the way around. Rest of the weekend I’m thinking will be more Zelda and starting that Silent Hill 2 Remake as I do have the deluxe early access. Never played a Silent Hill before so pretty excited. Otherwise I’m thinking this week is mostly gonna consist of some Ace Attorney, Trails Through Daybreak, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, Paper Mario, Bakeru, Dawntrail, Astro Bot, Emio, Star Wars Outlaws and Visions of Mana and Plucky Squire. Gonna focus on trying to beat Dawntrail this week but also fitting in some Dragon Ball Sparking Zero (proud sponser of the Damian Priest/Finn Balor match at WWE Bad Blood) since I also got the deluxe early access on that too. Preordered the Sonic X Shadow Generations Deluxe Edition this week so pretty hype and happy about that. Did a preorder for the Collector’s Edition of Metaphor Refantazio on Amazon so it’ll come a little after the game comes out but that’s fine because I have plans with the most awesome person ever in the world when that comes out so I don’t mind one bit. Also got some PSN money that I think I’m gonna use to preorder Slitterhead Deluxe Edition and save some for when Ys X: Nordics comes out I’m very excited for that. Only wrestling thing I wanna mention this week is the amazing WWE Bad Blood. From the start with CM Punk and Drew in HIAC to the main event of Cody and Roman VS the New Bloodline it was a solid and beautiful 9/10 PLE. Absolutely amazing minus the Rhea and Liv and Nia and Bayley match. But that says how strong the other 3 were to make up for it. Anime of the week gotta go to Nokotan. Yep only got one anime this week as I skipped normal anime night to go on a early morning walk with a friend and cook Deviled Eggs as from the FFXIV cookbook. Absolutely excellent time all around. Podcasts of this week gotta go to Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Into The Aether, RPGsites Tetracast, Minnmax, Jeff Gerstmann, Kit and Krysta, Last Stand Media, Easy Allies, Second Wind, Nextlander, Cultaholic Wrestling, Weapon Wheel, Aetheryte Radio and Remap Radio.
