Welcome to the weekend! We've got a lot of great stuff happening on Xbox right now, including betas for Diablo IV and Exoprimal, Xbox Free Play Days titles such as Anno 1800: Console Edition and Session: Skate Sim, a massive set of sales with over 600 games on offer, and more recent Xbox Game Pass games to check out!
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

I feel like there's a lot I want to play this weekend, and barely any time to play it in. My main focus is on WWE 2K23, which I'm having an absolute blast with so far - I think it's the best game in the 2K series to date.
Elsewhere, I'm hoping to dig into Valheim for the first time as part of Xbox Game Pass (hopefully with a friend if we can match up schedules) and Xbox Free Play Days is also looking pretty interesting to me this week with the free trial of Anno 1800: Console Edition and also Session: Skate Sim. Hopefully I can find the time for those!
Have a good weekend, folks.

It's a vague one for me this weekend! I'll certainly be playing bits and pieces — likely checking out both of the recent Modern Warfare 2 and Halo Infinite updates — but aside from those I'm undecided.
I just wrapped up The Last Of Us on HBO so of course, I'm extremely tempted to replay the original game on PlayStation, while I'm also thinking of blasting through Bioshock Infinite again ahead of its 10-year (!) anniversary next weekend. Decisions, decisions...
Have a great weekend!

I'll be busy, busy, busy most of this weekend but I will definitely be taking some time to check out the Series X version of the excellent Valheim, which I've already pumped some serious time into on PC. I highly recommend jumping into this one if you've yet to give it a shot, and be patient in the opening hour or two as it finds its feet and then casts an addiction spell on you.
Elsewhere, I've got Guilty Gear Strive ready and primed for action, although my kids will most likely steal my controllers to play Hot Wheels Unleashed most of the weekend as they've been really enjoying that over the past few days, so I may get less time scrapping with Sol Badguy than I'd like to.
Have a nice weekend!

This weekend is my BIRTHDAY WEEKEND FOLKS!!! Sound the alarms! (Well technically my birthday is on Monday but for me it’s a loooong weekend so it still counts). To celebrate another cycle around the sun I’m going to tuck into the Diablo IV Beta. Love me some Diablo, y’hear!?
Next week we’ve got bleddy Resident Evil 4 coming out! Madness! Who’s stoked? I must be because my wallet looks a lot emptier (thanks to the Capcom sale blessing the Xbox Store) after picking up the original Resident Evil 4 and the Racoon City Edition containing Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 & Resident Evil Resistance.
Happy gaming, folks!

Switch - Starting Bayonetta Origins and Metroid Prime Remastered today! Might also play some Smash Ultimate online.
3DS - Playing through Pokemon Red for the first time!
PS5 - GTA Online with friends and gonna try out Hitman World of Assassination.
PC - Not much on PC this weekend but might play a bit of Garry's Mod with friends.
Have a good weekend everyone!
Just bought F. I. S. T. in a sale, so im looking forward to playing that.
Tried valheim, but it became apparent very quickly its not for me, and if I were to play it would be on PC, which is very clearly where the controls were designed for. Shame as Id been looking forward to trying it on xbox.
Nothing for me. We’re out this weekend.
Maybe a little Sea of Thieves or Halo Infinite Sunday evening when we come back but not likely. It’s going to be a full weekend!
Jedi fallen order, I like it but I feel it's been dragging quite a lot. I'm 15hs in and can't wait to finish and start something new.
Also playing a bit of sherlock chapter 1 with the wife.
On Switch, i'm still chipping away at Octopath Traveler 2, loving this game a lot, and it's probably my big game this weekend.
On Series X i'm also playing Dead Cells, mostly delving into the Return to Castlevania stuff.
And on PS5 I did briefly play some of the PS4 Ratchet & Clank remake earlier, dunno if i'll keep going with it, it scratched the itch I needed scratched when I did a session with it.
Diablo 4 is soooo good so far. For reference I loved diablo 2 but was bored of diablo 3 within a few hours. Besides that, Valheim with friends.
On Xbox I'm working on finishing the other stuff on Wo Long after seeing the credits roll and helping buddies in coop.
Finished the new Two Point Campus DLC. I liked the theme but its very light in comparison to the Space DLC.
In between that gonna DM panic write some stuff, mop up a few MonHun quests and play something light like The Gunk.
I’m still playing Octopath Traveler II (Nintendo Switch). With 65+ hours, I believe I’m nearing the end, I believe, having the 3rd and 4th chapters left of most characters. I did nothing but grind yesterday, so all of my characters are now level 60 or higher, so I’m going to push through the story now. The fatigue is starting to set in, however, as I want to get around playing some other games. That said, my opinion still hasn’t wavered: OP2 is one of the finest RPGs ever made.
I was going to get around to playing the plethora of games in my backlog, such as Wo Long Fallen Dynasty, Dead Space Remake, and a few others, but I saw that a new DLC campaign mission dropped for one of my favorite games, Sniper Elite 5, and I’ll be jumping back into that world. I find the game to be an utter masterpiece in stealth and level design, and the overall gameplay loop is addicting.
I also purchased Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion and Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo on the Nintendo Switch, so I’ll probably jump into that soon. All of these games mentioned should keep me plenty busy until The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Redfall releases.
@Razputinman And on Xbox? I mean, you're commenting on Purexbox.com
@Jenkinss I’m playing Diablo 4 too, but it feels very much like Diablo Immortal (which to me is not a good thing) only bigger. Keep in mind all the battle pass stuff is not there yet, but you can already see in some places what will be daily and weekly to do lists of shores associated with that model.
It seems like it will be another live service game that “demands” daily shores and being treated like a second job.
The premium cosmetics and whatever else they have planned are also not there yet. Once all of that comes together in the final version I’m not sure I will keep playing it for long.
This beta made me less excited for the final game than I was.
Focusing on Hogwarts now after finishing up Fire Emblem Engage. I'm not done with Atomic Heart, but I'm putting it down for now. I was playing too many games at once and needed to scale back. That being said, I am also playing through Gears 5 with the guys, but we probably won't be able to get to it this weekend as I have actually have a date tonight 😎 lol
@Romans12 You don’t have to be playing Xbox games to comment on this forum. And who is to say this person wasn’t playing an Xbox game last week or so? It’s just a community to share what everyone is playing, regardless of the console. It’s to create discussion and possibly get someone interested in a new game or something of the sort.
After all the hype around RE4 Remake, I've decided to buy RE Village whilst it's only £16. Might get the former having been a big fan of the original on Wii about 15 years ago. For now though, I'm hoping the more hack n slash style of RE Village is an improvement on RE 7 which felt a bit too slow and confined IMO.
Gave Tunic a go during the week and couldn't see why so many people raved over it.
On Xbox DMC4 SE
On Switch Metroid Prime Remastered
On my 3ds Phantom Hourglass
What a banger of a weekend
Nothing for me this weekend. I just finished playing like a dragon ishin on xbox. I would play valheim, but don't like that I can't transfer my steam save. Think I'll be playing on pc this week.
Think I won’t have much time to play this weekend, but I am hoping I’ll be able to get my last two achievements in Far Cry 6.
Edit: and all achievements unlocked! Time to get some work done… and maybe queue something to play next…
I’m playing dark souls 3 and chained echoes. If you like old school rpgs don’t sleep on echoes- gives you sort of that chrono feel but everything is sped up a bit makes it less of a slog
I'm still playing Mass Effect 2, Such a great game, Also Happy Birthday Craig..
Playing some Halo Infinite, trying to complete weeklies at least. Finished Mass Effect 1 this morning, and I plan to play Diablo IV beta as much as possible.
Uncharted: Golden Abyss (Vita) - Another year, another playthrough of my favourite Vita game.
Hitman GO (Windows Phone) - Going back though World 3 to get better scores.
Series: Halo and Wo Long
PS5: Hogwarts Legacy
Switch: MK8
Paper Mario origami king on switch and maybe Metroid prime if I finish that
going to check out the Far Cry 5 DLC that's on sale this week
I'm playing Disco Elysium and Metroid Prime remake, both on the Switch. Really sinking my teeth into Disco and loving it's style. Fits the handheld aspect of the Switch nicely.
And still playing HiFi Rush here and there. Such a cool game and great style.
On Xbox, I'm alternating between Booger Picker: How far can you go and Fish Fry Simulator: Last fry of the season
Hogwarts Legacy is still going strong! Love the style and vibe, a really fun place to hang out and explore.
