Welcome to the weekend! There's plenty to enjoy on Xbox over the next couple of days, including the brand-new Xbox Game Pass additions of Hi-Fi RUSH and GoldenEye 007 no less, along with another batch of Xbox Free Play Days titles, the new release of Dead Space and another batch of excellent Xbox sales!
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

I've got a few games on my mind for this weekend. The first two are (obviously) Hi-Fi RUSH and GoldenEye 007, which I'll be spending plenty of time with over the next couple of days on Xbox Game Pass.
Elsewhere, I'm desperately trying to complete Deliver Us The Moon before its sequel (Deliver Us Mars) arrives on February 2nd. If you've never played it before, I highly recommend it! The other game I'm enjoying immensely right now is Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - in fact, it might be my favourite Game Pass title of last year.
Have a great weekend, folks.

It's time for a relaxing weekend after all the Xbox Developer Direct excitement this week, me thinks! I reckon I'm going to spend a bit of time on Warzone 2.0 this weekend, getting that Season 1 Battle Pass wrapped up before Season 2 arrives mid-February.
If I can get my hands on it, I might also spend some time with EA Motive's Dead Space remake over the weekend. It looks rather good I must admit, with DICE's Frostbite engine adding a lovely layer of sheen to this 2008 classic.
I hope you have a relaxing weekend as well!

Don't stop, don't stop the beat. I can't stop, can't stop the beat. I won't stop, won't stop the beat, and go! Can you guess what I’m playing yet? I’d consider myself mad If I played anything other than my personal highlight from Xbox & Bethesda’s first ever Developer_Direct, Hi-Fi RUSH! I’m putting this out there… are you ready? Because I’ma do it!? Hi-Fi Rush will be GOTY.
Elsewhere, I’m on the road this weekend, so I’ll have my Switch and Fire Emblem Engage to keep me company. Have a lovely rhythm-filled weekend, folks!
What Xbox games are you playing this weekend? Let us know down in the comments below.

Going through some Horde XL on world war Z, which is decent and probably more Deus Ex
On PS5 i will be playing Forspoken and Star Ocean The Divine Force, the latter is underrated and my favourite star ocean so far.
On the switch I will be playing Fire Emblem Engage and Bayonetta 3.
And on the Series S I will continue with Cyberpunk 2077 and might give Hi-fi Rush a try. I also have been invited to a Technical Test of Skull and Bones for this weekend by ubisoft, I've signed the NDA and chose the xbox version so I might give that a go.
I am playing Goldeneye 007
Hi-Fi rush! Is the game that I have been waiting for the whole generation! A mix of my two favorite games of all time , bayonetta and patapon! Can’t be happier!
Family weekend but getting in a little
Hi fi Rush of course, enjoying so far.
Hi-Fi Rush and One Piece Odyssey for me.
HFR and Dishonored DE on Series X. Picking up Dead Space today but probably wont get to play it till next week.
Hi-fi Rush and I was going to play something from my backlog but I just discovered that Mommy's Best (my favourite dev from the XBL Indie Games program on 360) has re-released his stuff on the marketplace so I'll be playing Weapon of Choice until my fingers bleed. Have a good weekend all!
I just finished Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception on the Playstation.
Rest of the weekend I'll be playing Hi-Fi Rush on gamepass and also continuing my playthrough of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
A but of Sea of Thieves tomorrow. I’m hoping to take my brother through the latest adventure before it goes away on Wednesday.
Some Kingdom Rush too. It’s a but clunky on a controller but it’s still good fun.
Other than that probably not HiFi Rush. I gave it a go. Great looking game but I’m terrible with rhythm based games.
P4G and Alan Wake remaster. P4G is taking up most of my gaming time though.
Dead Space and Hi-Fi Rush. Maybe an occasional level of Goldeneye.
Dead Space Remake on Ps5 along with Elden Ring. On game pass Hi Fi Rush, Goldeneye and Monster Hunter Rise
@ParsnipHero Sea of Thieves with friends is always a solid choice. I want to complete Maiden of Black Water 100% (second walkthrough) and then Goldeneye 007. There are many others I want to play like Hi-Fi Rush. The fact that I replay some games and life mean that my backlog will never be completed 😂.
First and foremost I need to give a special shout-out to the surprise Game Pass drop from Wednesday’s Xbox Direct: Hi-Fi Rush. This game is spectacular, along with its soundtrack. It has that PS2/GameCube era feel with modern controls. I’ve put in six hours into it and have defeated the third boss as of writing this, and I am craving to put more time into it once I get home from work.
There is a wonderful blend of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Jet Set Radio, and Sunset Overdrive, due to its linearity, characters, world design, collectibles, music, art style, and how it feels to play the game. Speaking of art, the animation is amazing; I could easily spend an entire day watching an anime if this was a television show.
I’ve been surprised as to how well paced it is. Acquiring new skills is spread out just far enough for the game not to get stale. If you sprinkle in a few basic abilities with the limited exploration, you are rewarded with benefits that are always useful. Thankfully, you’ll want to spend time exploring because of how gorgeous the game world is.
One of the best things about this game is that you don’t actually have to keep a rhythm to make progress—it’s only an added benefit. I think the developers knew that going into it, and I’m glad they created a well crafted game that is easily accessible.
In modern gaming with open world bloat, live service, early access and constant patches, Hi-Fi Rush is what I call old school fun. It’s absolutely essential and one of Xbox’s best exclusives in years. Possible GOTY? It’s early on, but I believe it will be. This game seems to have the same energy Elden Ring did when it released (maybe not as widespread, but people are talking about this game everywhere, and for good reason).
Secondly, I’m playing Dead Space Remake. It’s only fitting to play it on an Xbox console considering that’s where I played the original. So far, I’m very impressed. It’s been years since I’ve played the game so nearly everything feels new again.
The atmosphere and overall tone is masterclass. It truly makes you feel claustrophobic and confined, but not completely vulnerable. I love the variety of weapons at your disposal and how you can use the environment to destroy enemies. This remake only solidifies what has already been known: Dead Space is one of the best, if not the best survival horror game ever made.
I beat River City Girls just before Hi-Fi Rush got announced which I was playing but I beat it this morning.
I’m probably gonna play High on Life on the Xbox Series X or Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart on the PS5.
Might also start Pokemon Puzzle league on Nintendo Switch Online.
Currently playing return to monkey island on gamepass
I will probably play a bit more of Riftbreaker. An excellent real time strategy game which feels a little obtuse at the beginning but once things click they click amazingly.
Deathloop for Pure Xbox Game Club. I'll be honest it's a harsh beginning. The first several hours are all heavily tutorialised with child-stabilisers-on guided gameplay which I didn't like at all. Then you feel a bit lost and confused for a while. But now it's opened up, it's starting to click and i'm enjoying it a lot more.
But I also don't usually like Rogue-lite's, find them repetitive, so right now i'm also at the point, about 4 loops in, where i'm somewhere in the limbo between
1) I've got most of the powers and some good weapons infused
2) I'm still figuring out the puzzle part but haven't progressed much
3) Some of the levels are starting to getting a bit repetitive.
On a knife edge and not sure how it'll pan out. IF it clicks I feel I might LOVE and rave about this game, or it could easily peter out.
Next month Game Club is currently looking like Hi-Fi Rush if anyone else wants to take part, play and share your views.
EDIT: Also gave Goldeneye a quick go. Having recently played the N64 version and being horrified with how badly it had aged this has really surprised me. The updated controls make it instantly playable compared to the N64 version whose controls just feel outdated, unintuitive and foreign. Only played the first few levels quickly but enjoyed going back.
A whole mess of stuff. More than I normally do since I try to keep it to a two game minimum. But between Xbox and switch I'm drowning!
I'm playing Skyward Sword HD ..
Skyrim still, dropped the survival mode because it was taking forever. Now it just takes a lifetime. 🙃
Elden ring, finally getting almost good at it. And a game that I can't talk about since I signed a NDA . I didn't know that company were giving early access at random players like that but it's cool.
Judgement PS5
HiFi Rush series X
I want them both finished before Hogwartz, so I need to put some hours in!
Forspoken, Hi-Fi Rush, Goldeneye, and Fire Emblem Engage. It’s my birthday and I took an extra day off this weekend to play games!
I rolled credits on both God of War (2018) and Spider-Man Miles Morales yesterday….
Gonna begin Ghost of Tsushima I think. Been heavy on my ps5 ever since it came home
@Banjo- yea, SoT is my favourite at the moment. My wife & I play most evenings together. My brother is in the UK and I’m on US Eastern time so Sunday is the only day we can play together. I try not to rope him in each week but we’ve played most Sunday’s since Christmas.
I want to go back and 100% Pirate’s Life at some point for the shanty. Will likely spread it out a bit Pirate’s Life was our first foray into tall tales. The mission style was nice but we did the whole thing in 5 evenings and it left me yearning for regular gameplay again.
Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition (Windows Phone) - I forgot about how fast the difficulty spikes in these games...
Rayman Jungle Run (Windows Phone) - Nearly all lums on all levels.
Age of Sparta (Windows Phone) - Nearly gone as far as I can with this.
The masterpiece that is Hi-Fi Rush with a side of Dead Space
GoldenEye (Xbox Series X) Going to game like it's 1997!! Hitting up multiplayer with my son this weekend and maybe a few rounds with the guys after the football games on Sunday.
Breath of Fire (Switch) I am enjoying replaying this game again. Just got Nina on my team.
Might also check out some more Gamepass titles as well this weekend just not sure what.
Goldeneye of course, what else?
I still remember reading a lot of previews/reviews of the game before it came out.
The gaming magazines raved about the game and i remember being very skeptical looking at the screenshots and having never played a 3D FPS before.
I thought it can't be that good...how wrong i was!!!
Just smashed out agent difficulty on Goldeneye. I personally think it (this HD version) still holds up - had a really good time going through it. Not sure I ever completed it (without cheats at least) as a kid so yea was fun!
Main focus will be Dead Space remake (Xbox Series X) but might work in a few other games. Still going through Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion (PS5) as well.
I'm going to have to go with Hi-Fi Rush.
Subnautica on Xbox. Maybe Elden ring or Forza horizon 5.
Dead Space all the way!
GoldenEye on Xbox and As Dusk Falls. The Xbox port of 007 is pretty good overall! Not as good as Perfect Dark's port, but still very playable. Nearly done secret agent and getting cheats whenever they arise.
Hi-fi rush...gotta admit this game wouldnt have been in my radar due to its genre. But im gladly suprised how good it is. Just finished the first big boss and it's so unique. The main guy could move a bit faster though.
Also continuing fenyx rising which is awesome
I want to play HI-FI Rush, I have it downloaded but I'm hooked on Dead Space. As a fan of the original, I absolutely love it. It's up there with Resident Evil 2 Remake, it's got that perfect balance of respecting the original & making smart changes for QOL.
Other than that, I've almost finished Deathloop, I've gotten all 5 legendary weapons, fully upgraded the Nexus & Switch slabs, completed all the Visionary leads outside of Fia's & the archivist. I've been getting stuck on Fia because any time you get spotted, she triggers the reactor & kills everyone. So trying to finish that one.
Also, a few weeks ago I started Fallout 4 for the first time after revisiting New Vegas. Fallout 4 took over my life for about two weeks, so I'm sure I'll get back into it & knock out some quests to level up some perks.
Saturday night, tonight, I'll be playing Dead Space on TV while the ROYAL RUMBLE is on my computer screen. Favorite WWE show every year!
@somnambulance Happy birthday dude!
I tend to take a day off for birthdays and play games too, its become a tradition.
Yakuza like a dragon
Such an amazing game
Going through Blood and Wine expansion on The Witcher 3, this could be a whole game on its own, it is huge.
