Welcome to the weekend! Well, there's plenty to keep you busy on Xbox over the next few days, including a batch of new Game Pass titles, three more Free Play Days additions, lots of new releases such as Saints Row and Soul Hackers 2, and another major set of discounts for over 500 games - highlighted by a major "End of Summer" sale!
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

My weekend is going to be taken up by F1 Manager 2022, which came out for pre-order customers earlier this week ahead of its actual release next Tuesday. We'll have some kind of review to share on Pure Xbox very soon, but I'd still like to spend a bit more time with it before giving a final verdict.. it's certainly enjoyable so far though!
If I do get any other time this weekend, it'll probably be spent with Death Stranding on PC Game Pass. Why not, eh? I've never played it before, and my gaming PC only tends to get used for eFootball PES 2021 modding purposes these days, so I may as well put it to the test with something a bit more rigorous!
Have a good weekend, folks.

Now that I've wrapped up my review of Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed, I'm probably going to have a more chilled out weekend, maybe catch up on a few new Game Pass additions. Midnight Fight Express sounds like a belter, so I should probably give that a go!
Other than that, I might have a gander at Death Stranding as well, albeit not on PC (mine would probably explode if I tried). I've been thinking about it since I picked up a new PlayStation Plus sub back in June, so now's the time, eh?
Have a great weekend!

I'm currently playing AC Brotherhood..
Midnight Fight Express - I'm half way through the game now.
Looking to spend Bank Holiday Weekend going through the game.
On PS5 i will be fully focusing on soul hackers 2, so far its been pretty good, nowhere near the level of a persona game but that was to be expected.
On the Switch I will be playing Xenoblade chronicles 3 currently on chapter 4 and having a blast so far, I'd even say its better than number 1 but still 3 chapters to go.
On the series S I will be continuing with far cry 5, it's been 6 years since I last played a far cry game so it all feels new to me again as I know people complain about it being the same every release, but I'm enjoying it so far. Im also thinking of starting Sunset overdrive as it's the only insomniac game I haven't played yet and apparently its very good.
On XSX, I will be playing Sleeping Dogs (my 4th playthrough). Love this game and the hand-to-hand combat is just ridiculously fun.
Also, some eFootball PES 2023. It's much improved over last year's version, but the content is still a ways off for it to be deemed an actual PES game.
On PS5, I'm actually just waiting for The Last of Us: Part 1 to unlock (already got it preloaded).
Have a good weekend everyone!
Will be playing Immortals Fenyx Rising on Switch, Persona 3 Portable on Vita, Lego Batman on Series X, Team Sonic Racing on PS4 and Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance on Wii U. Lots of variety this weekend!
Beat we ❤️ Katamari this week and got the platinum for Ghost of Tsushima.
Playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna the Golden Country at the moment and still want to finish up Life is Strange 2. Also like every week some fortnite.
Not much besides those. Maybe I’ll start Two Point Campus or something else.
Just started playing Doom 2016 and it's definitely somethin
I completed my Halo weekly but I have to say Team Doubles is so good when it works. Really enjoying that playlist.
I’ll probably play drive more Rumbleverse. It’s really fun. Customisation is lacking but eh.
Finally Sea of Thieves. Still working on decking my captained ship out.
Like A Dragon and Bayonetta on Xbox. GoW on and Ace Combat 7 on PC. Maybe I'll touch some others.
On my Xbox it is ff13. Actually enjoying that one. I know there is a lot of hate it for it but won't think it's as bad as people make it out to be. It still feels like a typical final fantasy game to me. Besides that also still working on my trial run in Elden Ring. Kinda trying samurai and astrologer out which one I want to play on a full run. Taking my time to figure things out.
On my ps5 trying to get the last trophy for God of war, that valkyrie queen is something else even on easy mode it seems tough. Furthermore it's Trials of mana, which is a very relaxing jrpg.
Been a while since I had 4 games open to play, although God of war is only a trophy I want to get. And I still have cult of the lamb and soul hackers 2 I want to get. To many games and not enough time lol
I'm finishing off twelve minutes before it's removed from game pass then maybe PAC man world or dead island I'll see what I feel like
Playing through Cyberpunk 2077, even though I'm hitting some saving bug, so I'll probably carry on with Grim Dawn or Mafia
Playing Fable Anniversary after I dunno 13 years that I played The Lost Chapters. Good fun.
The OG Witcher and Death Stranding on PC. Back for Blood on XBX.
I finally played and beat The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. This game is a masterclass in game design, and so inventive for its time. I might be late to the party, but this will easily go down as one of my favorite games of all time. There were only two instances where I had to look at a guide for help - but none of them were regarding collectible items; I found those all organically. It’s insane to think about how amazing this game was for its time. It transcended gaming, and became incredibly influential.
Now that I’ve beaten ALtoTP, I’m going to start Super Castlevania IV (Nintendo Switch, Castlevania Anniversary Collection). This game doesn’t get talked about enough, but it should because it’s fantastic. It’s such an atmospheric game with an incredible soundtrack that sets the tone immediately. Moreover, it doesn’t overstay its welcome; it can be completed in a couple of hours. It’s a shame I wasn’t old enough to play this game when it was distributed to the public because, if I recall correctly, it was released the day of Halloween in 1991 - a perfect game to play during that celebration.
On GamePass I’m playing Watch Dogs 2, Two point Campus and Midnight fight express. Also playing Cult of the lamb. On PS5 I’m playing F1 2022.
I've really slowed down on gaming since getting into Midjourney, but I am still playing through Prey (2017). I'm maybe 60-80% of the way through it at this point. It's excellent, and I'm loving it, but so far I still like Dishonored more and by a fairly wide margin.
Multiversus, I haven’t been able to play it all week. But I’ll have some time now.
XSX Diablo 2 & Diablo 3. Waiting for MW2.
Finishing up Max Payne 3... cant believe how good this game holds up still.
Also I started playing AC Syndicate. which I had great memories of but never got to finish the game back in the day.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint, ESO, and another game (NDA)
Soul Hackers 2 thank you very much.
@Lavalera the hate is overblown on that game. It’s just at the time period games were trying to be open world masterpieces, and it was traditional linear.
@mousieone that's some stupid reason to hate on a game. It's funny nowadays some people tend to hate on anything that's large open world, how times can change.
Been grinding the new season of Destiny 2 heavily….sprinkled with a bit of House Of Ashes and maybe Triangle Strategy
played a bit of cricket 22 inspired by England's performances followed by F1 manager and Fifa 22
@SplooshDmg
Could you share your thoughts on Death Stranding once you've played it for a bit? I have PS Plus Extra and been wondering about it. I could easily try it myself, but I'm kind of a weirdo who bounced off of Ghost of Tsushima, for example.
@SplooshDmg
Wow, that's some high praise. Okay, you convinced me. Thanks a lot for that detailed overview! I really like Kojima games (MGS fan here) but I know Death Stranding requires a significant time investment and with that bonkers plot I thought maybe I should pass. Thanks again buddy!
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - All done with August medals now. I'm replaying random challenge packs till September starts.
Panzer Geekz (Windows Phone) - Blast Corps lite as I call it lol Only have a few more levels left to beat.
Make It Rain: The Love of Money (Windows Phone) - I'm finally done with this and can now move onto the next game.
Finished Control Ultimate Edition this week so started Final Fantasy IX, haven't played it in years and only a couple of hours in.
Already booked so will be smashing this out in the next week or so
@gollumb82 I played it on PS4 pro, and then PS5. It’s a stunning looking game for sure. For me the real enjoyment in the game comes from actually traversing the environment - mountains, across rivers etc. You have to manage your delivery load, and use tools like ladders, ropes and later zip lines. Yes you do have encounters with these things called “BTs” and the combat is ok, but making it from point A to point B is strangely very rewarding.
@Nightcrawler71
Thanks mate. I like games that at least try something different or creative. It seems my cup of tea, but I'm planning a playthough of TLoU Part 1 and 2 back to back, so I'll check out Death Stranding after that 😉
Diablo 3 season 26 on Switch; F1 22 and Bioshock Remastered on Xbox until I pick up F1 Manager.
Pursuaded my wife that forza 4 is better than 5, and now she agrees I cant get her off it! So thats the xbox tied up 😀
I'd started trials of mana on ps5, but I think I might finally be tired of cheesy by the numbers jap jrpgs, as I find im just pottering around playing old 'trials' games, the motorbike ones from ubi, instead!
I know I shouldnt, but im likely to be playing tlou remake later in the week, and I suspect Im waiting for that...
