Welcome to the weekend! Well, we've had just the one new addition to Xbox Game Pass this week, but we've also got three Free Play Days titles that you can check out this weekend, along with a whole bunch of games on sale.
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

So much to play, so little time! I've actually got a few reviews on the go at the moment, which I can't talk about just yet, but any other spare time I get will probably be spent on Saints Row The Third Remastered, which I bought after it was included in the Free Play Days batch last week. See, Microsoft? Free Play Days does work!
That's about it for me, although I do want to give another shoutout to Arcade Paradise, which released last week and is definitely worth your time if you like the premise. I'm really shocked just how much fun I've had with that game so far.
Have a good weekend all!

I think I'm going to dip into a little Vanguard / Warzone this weekend to get some more of the battle pass done before Season 5's bizarre CoD crossovers arrive next week! They always reel me back in, these pesky battle passes...
Elsewhere, I'll be continuing to dip in that review title I mentioned last weekend, ahead of the mystery game's launch in the near future.
Have a good one folks!
What Xbox games are you playing this weekend? Let us know down in the comments below.

On PS5 i have re bought Tiny Tina Wonderlands as I'm now getting the season pass since all of the dlc has released, I have also downloaded Returnal from ps plus extra, I sucked at it when it first came out but since then they have released a Co op update so hopefully this helps me to complete it. And finally I have bought Neptunia Re-verse and an hour in and I don't believe this needed this remake, The visuals are also not "next gen"
On the Switch I will be playing a lot more of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, currently 40 hours in and only just started chapter 4, love exploring the huge maps and the story is already better than XC2, my only complaint is the game feels way to easy to level up, I'm now level 43 yet the story level is only 27, and I haven't really grinded.
On my series S I will be trying to complete Back 4 Blood, I'm on Act 4 which is the final boss but for some reason I just can't do it after 4 attempts and I've tried it with both bots and real players, but I will try again today. Once I get that done I will finally start FarCry 5
Mass effect legendary edition
I've done me1
And probably a quarter through me2
Really good fun game especially on the hardest difficulty
Still trying to get the platinum trophy for Ghost of Tsushima and do the expansion.
After that I’ll either go back to Life is Strange 2 and continue that game or start we ❤️ Katamari which arrived in the mail a few days ago.
Oh and the fortnite dragon ball super event ofcourse, still want to unlock that glider and the emote and still have 26 levels on the battlepass left until I’m lvl 200.
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Will obtain my silver medal needed for August.
Panzer Geekz (Windows Phone) - Reminds me of Blast Corps quite a bit.
Make It Rain: The Love of Money (Windows Phone) - Nearly done all I can in here.
Max Payne 3 mainly..enjoying it quite a lot
On my Xbox it's ff13 and Elden ring. Just started ff13 so can't say much about it yet. I think it's the only one left on gamepass so had to try that. Still also taking baby steps in Elden Ring with my Samurai. Just roaming around in limgrave back and forth and seeing what I can find and staying away from everything that's big and ugly, baby step by baby step at a time.
On my ps5 I'm working towards the plat on God of War. Those valkyries are no pleasure not even on easy hehe. Still need to do some collect stuff and the valkyries.
I’ll be out of town all weekend for a wedding so I won’t get to play much; however, when I do get a chance I’ll be sinking time into:
Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I’m 55 hours into the game and just reached chapter 5. The game is phenomenal on every level. And Eunie is my main gal - and her as Ashera’s defender role is quite fun to play. That said, I need a break from the game because all of my (limited) free time is being spent on the game and I don’t want to lose the desire to finish it due to burnout.
As a palate cleanser, I’m playing The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (Nintendo Switch Online). Admittedly, I had this game on the SNES as a kid but never really put effort in playing it because my time was spent with neighborhood friends playing Super Mario World (one of my all time favorite games) and Donkey Kong Country 2.
Now that I’m finally playing it - what is there to say about this game that hasn’t been said before? The game is a masterpiece in every facet. The atmosphere is incredibly immersive with distinctive art direction (I’m a sucker for 16-BIT) for each location you traverse. The pacing is also fantastic, and it feels like you never lose steam in your progression. One thing that blows my mind is the level design. Though I’ve never played this game before, I have played A Link Between Worlds (3DS) and Cadence of Hyrule (Switch) and I immediately feel at home in this world. The sheer fact that it holds up three decades later is a testament to its brilliance.
On the Xbox side, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge and one of my favorite 360 games, Tomb Raider: Legend, through backwards compatibility on the Series X.
On Switch I'm still slowly making my way through Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I get caught up doing the side quests and don't progress the main story as quickly as other people.
Can’t stop playing Cult of the lamb atm! Wish it was on GP so more people could enjoy it. Also playing Two point Campus and F1 2022. May give the new “Forgotten Saga” mode a go on AC Valhalla.
Picked up Grim Dawn in the Gold sale, so I'll mostly be playing that, so far its fantastic
I have one more chapter left in The Gunk, so I’m eager to finish it off. Not sure what I’ll start after finishing it, but I’ll be putting some time into the Halo Infinite event in the meantime. Have a great weekend everyone!
Playing NFS: Heat. Geez those cops are tough.
Also Gears 3.
Still jumping from one game to another but it's getting better.
Multiversus and I bought Dragon Dogma on a nice sell so I may give that a go.
Finished Spec Ops the Line. Now playing FIFA 22
Just started Elden Ring the other day and beat my first boss yesterday, I cannot wait to go home and play some more but unfortunately I'm at work all day ☹️
I've been replaying the Max Payne trilogy. Currently in the middle of Max Payne 3. Love this series and I hope we get to see MP4 one day.
On PS5- Final Fantasy 7 Remake
On Switch- Super Mario 3d World
Have a good one guys and gals!
I'm gonna start up Klonoa on Series X today..
Tales of Vesperia on 360. Disc 1 completed
Finally found time to start book 2 of As Dusk Falls. I enjoyed the first part very much. Continuing to make the choices no one else seems to 😜
Wreckfest and Batman: Arkham Knight. Might try to add another one to the list. Maybe battlefield: 2042
I’m currently playing through Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD and I’m hoping to finish it before Saints Row releases on Tuesday.
@fabisputza007 @gollumb82 The first two Max Payne games are getting a remake but they will most likely be a while off till they are released, I’d guess end of 2023 or first half of 2024.
@MaccaMUFC
I know, but I fear they will lose their charm, so to speak. Having played them over the last week I can say they are still pefectly playable and look ok. I'd rather Remedy started work on Max Payne 4 or a new IP. I love all of their games so yeah. Same thing with Dead Space. I won't be buying the remake, unless I learn it's very faithful to the original.
@gollumb82 definitely will if the upcoming remake of 1&2 sells well I know I'll be getting it day one whenever that will be
@Bmartin001 I was considering buying those games recently, let me know what you think of it!
House of Ashes and Triangle Strategy
Vampire survivors. Just one more run..
@Clankylad
Agreed! I will add that the entire game is amazing. I remember I wasn't a huge fan of the setting when it launched, but now I'm totally sold on it.
@Would_you_kindly
Careful there. These remakes might turn out to be in the vein of TLoU Part 1 haha. Depending on what they show us before the launch, I might just be there with you.
I'm kind of broke i playing my 991 digital game library, i redownloaded wwe 2k15 as wwe2k22 sucks with inflation in canada it's never been so expensive to live.
I’ve been playing Sea of Thieves with my wife. I love the captaincy update more progress bars to fill up on top of the content I missed since season 2.
Also playing Rumbleverse. The gameplay is fun if a little broken sometimes but it can be a good laugh. Not interested in spending a money on it at this time.
@gollumb82 wouldn't mind if they were exactly the same story wise because I love the story just an update to the graphics & controls would be fine by me got to keep Max's face from 1&2 though lol
