Just a few weeks ago, Rockstar Games confirmed that after a decade of waiting, we were finally going to be treated to the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 (or whatever else it's called) at some point in early December.
At the time of writing, there's still no confirmation on what that date will be, but with The Game Awards taking place on December 7th, it would seem fitting if it made a grand appearance as part of that show.
Apart from those horrific leaks that Rockstar suffered last year, we don't know that much about what to expect from GTA 6 so far, but clearly it's a game that'll be generating a massive amount of attention when the trailer finally drops.
This is going to be a major moment in a year that's delivered a whole bunch of major moments, but how excited are you personally about the GTA 6 trailer? Is this a game you've been waiting ten years for? Do you think this trailer can live up to the hype? Are you actually not interested in Grand Theft Auto whatsoever? Tell us down below!
Are you excited for the GTA 6 trailer? Come and vote in the poll and discuss in the comments.

I can't be excited for something I haven't seen yet...
GTA 5 released 10 years ago - I need some evidence that the series still gonna be awesome, sarcastic and fun to play. All these things I can hardly imagine both in modern society and in modern Rockstar. Hope to be wrong, but we'll see.
10 Dec 2023 is my prediction for the gta6 trailer I don't think it will be shown at the game awards
The 10th December will be the date of the 25th anniversary so to celebrate they will show and announce something on that day
That's my prediction anyway
I wouldn't say I'm excited. More, morbidly interested.
I am excited, GTA is a cultural phenomenon that only arrives every once in a while, and R* usually make damn good trailers. That said the days of my giddy excitement over R* and GTA are over, it's not the same as an adult. I also don't expect this game anytime soon, want to wow me? Slap an early 2024 date on it.
I quite enjoyed GTA when it was a top down view and reminded me of APB - except that was from the perspective of the Police. I enjoyed GTA3 and its spinoffs, but GTA 4 really bored me and I never liked GTA Online. GTA5 never appealed either enough to buy so I doubt GTA6 will bring me back - but I'll watch the trailer...
Id like to be as I’ve loved every single GTA game for the most part, but part of me feels like this isn’t the rockstar I loved anymore. It has really felt like they became the money hungry company they used to make fun of so I don’t trust them as much anymore.
I'm not too excited as the first trailer for GTA is usually a whole bunch of environmental shots set to a song to help "set the scene" for the game. It won't cover much in the way of gameplay or story, you know, the important bits
I did like GTA V; enough to play through it twice, in fact. So, yeah, I guess I'm interested to see it, but I wouldn't say I'm excited. I'll be more interested to see how/if they evolve GTA Online into a more cohesive, less segmented experience. Playing GTAO you're constantly going between menus and stuff, it's irritating. Those heists are some of the best co-op experiences you can have, though 👌
I also wonder if they'll actually launch simultaneously on consoles and PC this time around.
@FraserG slight typo in the headline: As December Draws Near, How Are Excited Are You For The GTA 6 Trailer? 😉
Nope. Last GTA I played was the original Vice City.
@Markatron84 Argh, that's infuriating! Thank you.
@Tomato_Goose why can't you be excited for something you haven't seen yet? isn't that literally how excitement works?
I'm surprised that I feel nothing for the franchise right now. Don't care about the trailer, don't care if/when the next one releases. I used to like the franchise a lot but don't currently feel one way or the other about it. Simply don't care.
@G1lbo differences between announcements, trailers, all kinds of marketing promises and final output throughout years of gaming have actually changed my perception of such things. Should I be excited with upcoming TES6? Nope. I do know nothing about it. At this point it may become some kind of match-3 game. Low chances, but possible. Should I be excited with upcoming GTA 6? Nah... Still have zero information about the game. Maybe it will be online multiplayer-only open world with insane amount battle passes? Judging by GTA Online it is not entirely impossible. Hard miss for me in this case.
Once more and more details come to the light I will analyze them and start building some attitude towards the subject. If there will be some things that I love in modern games, I will get excited, of course. But not before I actually see anything.
Cautiously excited.. love gta but the humour is a big part of it and worried it'll be dialled back for 'modern audiences'.
@Lucylu1983 I think you are spot on with that prediction. Cannot wait.
I forgot about it to be honest 😅
@Nf157 Lol. I was going to say the same thing.
I wish I could say I was excited, but R*’s response about the whole Agent thing was sort of junk, honestly. Made me less interested in whatever R* is doing and sort of made me feel like GTA both made R* incredibly interesting and ruined them all the same. I do miss the R* that could make GTA and other interesting games.
Hard to be excited until we find out if this is going to be what they use for their "pay by number of hours" pricing scheme they've been talking about.
I have never been excited for a trailer but cautiously optimistic that this will be a great game… this is coming from someone who actually has never played a R* game. Just tried 5 last week for the stolen cars rewards points….
@InterceptorAlpha Grand Theft Auto VI, only £199.99 👍
It'll be amazing obviously. It's GTA. Bummed out by the leaks about the setting though. Vice City isn't my thing. But whatever. Looking forward to it.
No interest in guessing it went full pander-verse and thus will lose its charm and humor
Never got into GTA. Which is weird, because the 2007 Transformers movie games for DS were basically Vice City for Kids, and I love playing those even to this day.
will be terrible and be more like the new saints row, so im not excited but more like nervous. dan houser and other head honchos that made gta are gone. good luck EVER seeing another GTA like SA and VC - and gta4? LOL forget about it. the more things change in the gaming landscape the more i appreciate IV .
I don wanna be a chick!
Extremely excited. There is nothing else like a GTA for me since playing GTA3. Hopefully the announcement is more than a very short quick camera pan teaser that shows next to nothing. Hopefully too is that GTA 6 is still GTA.
I’ve always been terrible with games involving driving - inc GTA 3 & 4; never tried 5 - so it will just pass me by… would much rather have Bully 2!
