There's barely been any hype or marketing around CrossFireX. Have a feeling it migh turn out to be a let down. Still a good month with Dying Light 2 and Elden Ring.
I'm not buying any games for myself until Im done with Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon Forbidden West. I've reached a point where it's just too many games and I have to accept I can't play everything day one because I just end up halfassing my playthroughs instead of enjoying the ride.
I ain't even played the first horizon yet despite owning it...so many games so little time...would prefer to play it before playing the second...but I might be burnt out on it if I try to cram it in before release of the second....probably will only rent it as well...not paying £70 for it...got The last of us 2 today brand new physical for only £12.99 at GAME
Think i might pick up Life Is Strange and Elden Ring..
Unlike most, I’m not that blown away by February. Not sure I’ll buy anything on Xbox but will be buying Sifu on the other console. I can wait on both HFW (the first was good, not great imo) and Elden Ring.
@StylesT enjoy Horizon if you decide to play it. Aloy has the personality of a wet fart and every character around her is as dull as dishwater, gameplay is fun though. It’s not the classic many say it is imo.
@Alduin @Chaudy
Yeah, confused and hoping. I dont' know why this thing isn't being marketed. I can't imagine they would pull a Scarlett Nexus and hype the crap out of it in several E3 events just to casually release it. Hoping it is a Game Pass surprise. With the way GP has been going lately, i wouldn't be surprised.
"Crossfire! You'll get caught up in the crossfire! Crossfire! CROSS-FIRE!!" "YEAH! YEAH!"
Olli Olli world for me. The first two were amazing and this looks like a brand new entry. Might pick up elden ring to play with my partners brother. I’ll definitely check out cross fire if it’s on game pass.
@Alduin keep in mind there's a free upgrade, so you can buy PS4 version for £60 then upgrade to the PS5 version
Elden ring. That is all.
@Fenbops Yeah I'm finding as I work my way through the PS4ps5 exclusives that most of them are well over hyped
I want to say I’m only gonna play Elden Ring, but I’d be willing to bet money that Witch Queen will be on GP. That being so, I’m cautiously optimistic. Maybe the expansion can recapture the glory days of Taken King
Anyone saying Horizon isn't as good as touted is simply wrong. Opinions obviously vary but to say it's not great is just incorrect.
I'll be getting Dying Light but not sure is it'll be on xsx or ps5... waiting to see how it uses the PS5 controller as thats the only difference between the 2 systems but it's a big difference and microsoft have missed a trick there. I'll be getting Horizon Forbidden West as well.
@StylesT Which ones? If you look at most top 100 games of the last 10 years, there's hardly any xbox exclusives in it. I've owned both Sony and MS systems since the original xbox was released and am no fan of either in particular but the Playstation exclusives tend to live up to their hype more than the xbox ones imo. God of War, Uncharted series, Last of us 1 and 2, Days Gone, Spiderman, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon... all spectacular games. Death Stranding, Detroit become human, Gravity Rush, Little Big Planet, Persona series... all very well reviewed and loved (just not by me) but as far as Xbox exclusives go, I can only think of Gears, Forza Horizon and Halo series. I enjoyed Quantum Break and I know Sea of Thieves has its fans, but there are a lot more quality exclusives on the Sony console
Big game of February for me is Horizon: Forbidden West, which will be the first time PS5 game I've bought in a while. On the Xbox side, Crossfire X and King of Fighters XV are the ones I'm planning to get.
@Gamer83 Do you tend to buy multi-platform games for the xbox? What makes you decide that way? More friends with xboxes? I find the only real difference between the two is the ps5 pad. Its a lot better than the xsx one... the adaptive triggers are gamechangers and the touchpad is great too.
@BBB 500+ hours by the sounds of it
@russbeer
There's no real thought process behind it. For certain games, it depends on the series. Resident Evil, for example, I've always viewed as more of a PlayStation series. When it comes to Tomb Raider, I didn't start playing those games until Legend on the 360, so my experience there is more on Xbox. For something like KoF XV, it's just more of a convenience thing. I'm gaming more on Xbox these days so that's the console I'm getting the game for.
Agree about the controllers. The Xbox Series one is good but of any controllers I've ever used the DualSense is easily my favorite.
I'm hungry for some King of Fighters goodness.
Been playing my S pretty much exclusively the last 6 months so I am excited to play Horizon. Will jump back into the S with Elden Ring and wait for a sale with Dying Light (played 1 extensively and still a bit burned out but expect 2 to be great).
There's a lot of games I want for February and march, but I think I need to get more strict with my gaming purchases again, been slacking with that in recent months.
Too many games on the go, I will only be buying elden ring, everything else can wait until I've caught up!
Definitely buying Dying Light 2 (Series X) and Horizon Forbidden West (PS5). Am tempted by Grid Legends, but Gran Turismo 7 is out the following week 🤔
This month is all about Elden Ring for me, I just finished up Nioh Remastered so it is a perfect time for the game to drop
I really, really, REALLY wanna play TW: Warhammer 3. But alas, no PC.
Anyone heard of anyone else streaming the PC games through the X/S? I’m all ears
