A very good show.
Doom and expedition 33 look great. NG is well NG too.
Not sold on the other game, but that’s fine not everything is for me.
Faultless presentation. These directs are amazing and MS has done well to nail a solid spot on the calendar to build hype and promote. For me, Doom and Expedition stole the show. That shadow drop was sweet too!!
Great year for Xbox Game Studios and partners!
Having a Game Pass subscription this year seems to be quite rewarding!
Easiest grade ever. An ‘A’ all the way. Simply fantastic and only covered a fraction of the games coming from Xbox this year!
Doom looks awesome….everything else not so.
Grade A didn’t need to even think about it after that show.
Glad I kept my GPU extended to March 27.
The value of GPU is really starting to show.
Very good. Doom looks amazing, And all day one, Damn I feel completely spoilt
C because I only want one game out of the four that they showed.
Ninja Gaiden 4 reveal and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black releasing today on GP gets an automatic A from me.
South of Midnight and Ninja Gaiden 4 look great. Loved the day 1 shadow drop. Expedition 33 looks like a work of art. And Doom... Doom gave me testerone-inducing chills.
Gotta give it an A for the macho chills
@TeiGekiLord which one?
@Boogaloo_Jenkins Ninja Gaiden 4.
A+. Excellent show.
That was fantastic! I am so ready for April! South of Midnight AND Claire Obscure: Expedition 33!!! Doom and Ninja Gaiden don't interest me, but they did look amazing for their fanbases.
I feel pretty well set up there for games for the next few months. Stalker 2 will likely last me until Avowed, I’ll also probably buy the new Kingdom Come game, then the three we just saw for April and May. 🙂
I'm giving it a S tier. Flawless. Everything they showed was nothing sort of amazing and I'm going to play every one of them. Can't say I was interested in Everything that was shown on a show like this before. Kudos to Xbox
A B from me. South of Midnight looks fantastic for me, Expedition 33 looks absolutely unique, and Doom looks like a potential GotY contender. Ninja Gaiden just doesn’t really get me too excited.
Three Ninja Gaiden games launching this year is a bit much to me. There were rumors of Silent Hill F and… I guess I let my expectations get the best of me. …and I was holding out hope for Oblivion as well, but ah… everyone can’t love everything. I’m sure Ninja Gaiden will be loved by the fans it was made for!
I usually give these things an A just on the presentation… I remember y’all saying last couple years - ohh that was a C or B … glad the types of games resonated with you this time around!
Ninja Gaiden 4 & Doom DA looks good.
South of midnight gameplay look amateurish but the art is very good, and the other game I don’t like any turn-based combat but it does look unique & stylish.
Outstanding. A big W. Surprised to be honest lol.
Not sure I will have much time to play PS5 PRO this year aside from GTA 5 and ghost of yotei lol. Literally, GP lineup this year is insane.
@OldGamer999 man this year we are having like 10+ GREAT big games on GP. Thats like $700 right there. And I stacked it for like $8/m lol.
Doom & gloom aside, if you look at games - this year is so good for xbox.
Excellent, gave it an A.
Ninja Garden 4 looked a bit underwhelming, but the shadow drop title looks awesome.
South of midnight is a bit more undecided for me, but the creature design and environment look great.
Expedition 33 looked amazing, I might have to buy that.
....and Doom looked phenomenal. The last game was a little fast and with the all the jumping I sometimes felt ill. Going back to tank movement really suits me and the structure sounds great.
Format of the show was excellent. Has to be an A 😄
Amazing showcase, doom the dark ages and ninja gaiden 4 was definitely the standout. South of midnight looked good but we needed more details on the frame rate etc.
It’s also good how Xbox came out with a clear message at the beginning of the show saying that all games shown today are on game pass day one and release dates were given.
to much time talking
Great show.
I think having the mystery of the unknown game really brought together the dev direct formula.
Would explain why the first and this one felt better than the 2nd where we all expected a shadow drop/reveal and nothing happened.
south of midnight gave me forspoken vibes loved doom and ninja gaiden games not sure about expedition..
Nothing here is really for me so I gave it a C
Doom is only one I am truly excited for. Im really happy the May release rumors were true. The other games are curiosities that I will definitely try for a bit on gamepass but haven't decided if I will invest much more than that in them yet.
I give the show a B. I might be misremembering but this one seemed to have longer talking segments and less uninterrupted gameplay.
@BacklogBrad thats the beauty of GP mate. try it out with the sub
I got into souls just because I tried lies of P. I discovered tunic and other indies. Its really great
@Millionski true. I love gamepass but hopefully these games garner more than a quick look and bounce off from me. We will see.
It was perfect, ninja gaiden!!! Man perfecttt
@Millionski
Think every year will be dam good for GPU and Xbox studios, they have so many studios then COD even for just single player and zombies at the end of every year like a little bonus.
I didn’t really care for much at all. Not that it was objectively bad. Just not for me… I feel like an old man already lmao
Give it a very, solid A.
Only for the fact that the games are coming out within 5 months. None that coming "Summer 2278" garbage.
Excellent, most excellent an A.
GamePass is once again shaping up to deliver a fantastic year of gaming for me.
I'm really wondering if that mercenary game was canceled? Not heard anything about it for years now. Think called Iron Bolt or something? Been so long even forget the name.
Announced at E3 years ago. Think set in 1940s? Loot gold? Heck can't even remember. Just another example of why The 6 Month Rule is absolutely the ONLY way to go.
South of Midnight looks terrific! Rest really aren't my jam but I'll probably romp around Doom for a bit eventually. Solid show just not much for my personal tastes
It’s a strong B from me, very good show, but I just need to reserve top ranking for a show that has games that really speak to my personal tastes. Which isn’t to say that there wasn’t stuff for me here, far from it.
South of Midnight is the one that should speak to me the most, but I’m staying cautiously optimistic rather than fully boarding the hype train as the developer doesn’t have a proven track record (We Happy Few and Contrast didn’t exactly set the world on fire). It looks good from what I’ve seen so far, so I really hope it’s a success.
Clair Obscur looks incredibly impressive, graphics/artstyle/voice acting are all on point, but I haven’t played a 3D turn-based game for a very long time so not sure if that combat style will gel with me. I guess I need to finally dive into Ni no Kuni that’s been on my backlog for ages to get an idea if this style of combat will be for me.
Doom looks great, but the 2016 original failed to retain my attention for long and currently sits on my Steam backlog of shame. So I need to play that before I can even think of dipping into The Dark Ages. It’s strange as FPS used to be my favourite genre, but over the years my preferences have shifted more towards third person action games, very difficult to understand why that is though.
Then Ninja Gaiden doesn’t really do anything for me personally, though I am happy for fans of that franchise.
@OldGamer999 if 2025 sets a standard for the games pipeline, I am in even without exclusives. Would buy next xbox if its like series X but with more power.
Just by looking at the 2025 list, I know I will spend a lot of time with xbox just due to GP.
I just hope they keep making console and sell enough consoles based on their own metrics to keep going. if 30M is enough, then I am fine with it. Let xbox be a niche GP machine. We will play exclusives on PS and switch.
man and that was only first half of the year excluding avowed! we also have Fable, COD and who knows maybe oblivion remake.
@Cakefish hosently skip the doom 2016. I tried it 2-3 times and dropped. Reternal was more fun even with questionable game design decisions (platforming and lack of ammo).
Dark ages already looks superior to both imo.
Well for a showcase it would be B or C, but for dev direct thats an A or even S imo
Great show. 4 of 5 games coming in the next 4 months + Avowed next month and a shadow drop today. Plenty to be excited about. Game Pass be eating good.
Who in their right mind is voting this a D or F?! This was a fantastic Direct.
@Millionski
See this is how it should be new AAA games on GPU. Then a nice remaster shadow drop.
This is where remasters belong, not producing remasters to make up for lack of new games like some company does that’s blue 🤣
The only game I cared about today was Doom, and that’s a bit of a known quantity. So for me? C.
But thinking objectively and for people who are into the games, it’s probably a B. I’d be happy if I was a Ninja Gaiden fan.
I have one word for this presentation: bangin'.
A shadow drop, so the people harping on about those will be happy. We got dates for three very cool looking games. I'm even kind of hyped for Ninja Gaiden 4, a series I've had no interest in previously. Good stuff.
A because of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black shadow-drop, Ninja Gaiden 4 announcement and release date for the new DOOM game.
Nothing else matters to me(wait, was there even anything else that was shown? I didn't actually watch the thing).
Well-deserved A! I'm not sure if Ninja Gaiden is for me, because I haven't played any, but I downloaded Ninja Gaiden II Black. What I liked about the presentation of 4 was the art style and the character and enemy design.
I'm willing to try the new games, but my vote goes to Doom The Dark Ages, because Doom Eternal is one of my favourite shooters ever. The value of Game Pass is incredible. If you are interested in 10 games this year, that would have cost you £€$700!
Well, not good!
Everything comes to PC and PS5.
Why should anyone care about XBox anymore, when Microsoft throws away everything? I even saw that Ninja Gaiden Black 2 gets a disc version on PS5 and it seems only on PS5.
XBOX is lost, the only benefit on that platform is: "Day1 on Game Pass"
I'm giving everything an F until I see Oblivion Remake.
But it was a great show if I'm being honest.
I just done watching the show, f*cking amazing. Easy A!
Xbox might be a massive mess with messaging and... well....a lot of things...but they absolutely have it locked down on showcases. As usual, fantastic show and man I'm disappointed that my life really doesn't suit me playing expedition 33.... that game looks amazing!
@Millionski they will. They actually had only one bad gen and it was last gen. They're prepping for the future unlike anyone else.
Nintendo is just a different beast but when comparing with Sony Xbox is FAR FAR ahead of them when it comes to trying to prep forbthe future and where the industry is going. It seems like Sony is quickly losing their identity and have no idea where to go next. I have a switch, sx, ss, and PS5 for current gen consoles... unfortunately the PS5 is definitely the most boring console of all of them.
As gamers we actually need the big 3 to win. All 3 of them because it gives us more choice and options...Xbox has shown me this. This is why Xbox is now my favorite current and next gen console that I will continue supporting. Idc if an Xbox game goes to sony...so what? I get it day and date on gamepass and if it's a good game I can buy it for atleast 20+% off as a gamepass user..I'll stick with the source console these games are made for..the first party console..whereas PS5 would be the obvious 3rd party console..the most 3rd party console in a single gen I think ive ever seen in my 39 years.
@Cakefish I wouldn't use Ni No Kuni as a reference for anything. Just play the new games on Game Pass to see if you like them. I loved the remaster of the first Ni No Kuni, but I didn't even finish the second. Both of them are unique in many ways.
Hello there fellow gamers.
This was the BEST Xbox Developer_Direct they have done so far.
It was made for me 😜 Grade A Plus.
Ninja Gaiden 4, with NG 2 Black Izuna Droped had me floored. I´m so happy this awesome franchise is back after 10 years absent.
South of Midnight looks way more interesting in terms of gameplay mechanics in both combat and puzzles.
Expedition 33 is everything a turn based rpg fan like myself always wanted. Looks phenomenal.
And Doom The Dark Ages might just be the most amazing fps of all time for me.
Xbox is showing work and it´s very apreciated.
Their June gaming Showcase is going to be wild. Can´t wait.
Cheers and happy gaming folks
