Xbox Developer Direct 2025: The Full List Of Reveals, Including Two Surprises

And this is just the first half of the year…
Going to be a great year for Xbox and their gamers!

Said it elsewhere but what an amazing presentation. Xbox have nailed this direct rhythm they have going for them. Expedition and Doom, hell yes. And most of this for just the first half of the year.

I only wish they do these more often … maybe GTA later in the year is a good thing as forcing Microsoft to release their games in the first half of the year….

Hello there fellow gamers.
It´s very cliché, but Ninja Gaidens Fans rejoice, WE ARE SO BACK!!
All I could think about before the Direct was "If is Ninja Gaiden, I´m gonna lose it."
And it was. Not only we´re getting a brand new NG game with Ninja Gaiden 4 but also Ninja Gaiden 2 Black...... TODAY!!!!
I´m kinda overwhelmed right now.
And let´s not forget how good South of Midnight, Expedition 33 and Doom The Dark Ages look and feel. Amazing stuff from all these devolopers.
This was the BEST Xbox Developer_Direct. I´m Beyond Happy!
This year is going to be insane for gaming all around.

Really strong presentation. For the amount of time I play games these days, I probably won't have to buy a game this year - could quite comfortably stick to Gamepass. Long may it continue.

I know Xbox is supposed to be the 'losing' side these days, but it really doesn't feel like it sometimes. Love my series X and love Gamepass.

Maybe Doom but there is nothing leaping out as a must for me personally. That's not to say the games shown aren't good or won't do well it's just non of them really float my boat.

I am still only really excited for Atomfall so far this year and not much else.

all these games are also on the ps5 did xbox have anything to do with making these games?

This was actually a really good developer direct! I don't want to ruin the moment by saying this, but if Xbox was still doing exclusives then by now they would have a really compelling case for owning an Xbox over the other consoles.

But aside from that, this was great. I hope we get more developer directs because this format is amazing! Mini E3's that focuse on games. Please keep doing them!

As I taught not much for me might give ninja gaiden a go though never played them it's on gamepass so why not!!

I can´t believe it. A proper Ninja Gaiden 4...... After soooo long.
And Ninja Gaiden 2 Black???? Today??
I´m over the moon right now.
Downloading the game as we speak.
Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive 3 were the two games that made me get and OG Xbox back in the day.
Same thing with Xbox 360, with both Ninja Gaiden 2 and Dead or Alive 4.
For everybody that says Xbox has no games, I really don´t know what to tell people anymore. There are more games that people can play these days. Especialy on GamePass.

Jeez, everyone was talking about it being Persona 6 of Final Fantasy 17 or something. People always get so overhyped, and then it turns out to be Ninja Gaiden Which is fine. But why get all hyped that it's "definitely" gonna be XYZ when it'll always turn out to be ABC instead?

@johnedwin1969 Well, Microsoft owns two of them so I guess they had something to do with it, but not with development. I think the cool part is that they are all on Game Pass on day one. None of these are on PS Premium on day one. I probably won't play any of these though. None spark my interest.

I just love videogames that much, can´t help it. Especialy with franchises that elevated my personal gaming enjoyment.
The NG franchise is just one of many, like Bioshock, Mass Effect, Gears of War, The last of Us, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Forza Horizon, God of War and many others.
In all my 40 years of life on this earth, gaming has been one of my greatest passions and to just have fun, relax and talk about with personal and online friends.
And the fact that these type of anouncements still excites me, tells more than I could describe.

@IOI exactly. do your thing with exclusives and expanding to other platforms if you want but also promote xbox little bit.
GP and some exclusivity (even timed) is more than enough incentive to keep console afloat.

Not only did they announce two new Ninja Gaiden games there is apparently a third game called Ninja Gaiden Ragebound. It says "Not Currently Available" and the trailer says summer 2025.

Hell yea to the first half of the year.

Very solid release lineup, almost one a month. Looking forward to Avowed, think I will just play it over a 2 week period of grinding it out

Man I’m so stoked for every one of these games…im def gonna be playing all of them…Microsoft really is starting to nail this release cadence of delivering us a big quality new release almost monthly for GP users
