Absolutely stunning month for Gamepass. They sold me to sub again.
Will wait for Stalker 2 on PS5.
Until Xbox respects their fans and gives clarity on Xbox exclusivity maybe games like Halo, Forza and Gears etc. They can go take a running jump.
They are hanging us on thread and being totally disrespectful to Xboxers.
Ooo..didn’t realize Nine Sols was also out in November. Yeah, even if nothing else was added to the list for GamePass in November, it’s absolutely killing it.
@OldGamer999 they'd give clarity if there was a chance those games would be staying exclusive forever. That's not in the cards now.
@Jenkinss
Exactly my point and not giving clarity either way so pitiful to Xboxers and a disgrace.
A trillion dollar company does not care about its loyal fan base of which I was one of, since the original Xbox release.
I know it’s a business just like the other two, but their lack of clarity is truly the devils work by Microsoft.
They are losing gamers like me to other console platforms and don’t care, that’s tells us enough about them.
Most excited for Dragon Quest 3 remake, but I prefer to play all my Japanese games in one place so I’ll play it where Japanese games are guaranteed not to miss. Stalker 2 also looks great. Amazing considering the conditions that team had to work under! That will be a gamepass download for sure. Also, that ant game looks interesting.
Considering how well Black Ops 6 plays on xCloud I will definitely be playing Stalker 2 at launch, even without actually owning an Xbox.
So much stuff coming down the line now! I’m very much looking forward to Rise of the Golden Idol, I loved the first game. I may well end up saving Stalker 2 for my Christmas leave.
I’m really curious about Empire of the Ants. I love the concept that you play as an ant colony and just do regular ant things and interact with other wildlife. I love the photorealistic miniature world aesthetic too. It’s just so refreshing, you don’t see many games like this on Xbox except for Grounded - but the survival crafting genre isn’t really my thing. I just hope it plays as good as it looks.
If Gears of War, Halo and Forza were never going to transition to the PlayStation, @Jenkinss & @OldGamer999, it would be extremely easy to say so. Microsoft could easily shut down the rumours with a simple statement saying, It's never going to happen. Hell would have to freeze over first . Or indeed, they could simply say, Yes, these games will be ported to the PlayStation at some point in the future. That would give the clarity that all of us Xbox gamers want. Saying nothing just adds to the rumours, and sows uncertainty.
I've said it a few times now, but I think that E-Day will be a launch title for the NeXtBoX in 2026, and it will therefore be a timed exclusive. 12, maybe 18 months, but then it will be ported to the PlayStation. After all, what better place to introduce Gears of War to the Sony gamer than with the first game (chronologically)? After that, I would expect the rest of the existing games to simply follow at a regular cadence. Drip fed to maintain interest and allow each title the chance to shine. Likewise, I expect the next Halo and Forza to go over too, followed by their earlier iterations.
In all honesty, I think from a strictly financial aspect, this would be the smart move from Microsoft. There's a lot of money to be made on the PlayStation, and the bean counters know this, and want it. I do think this will hasten the demise of the Xbox console, but I don't think that is Microsoft's long-term aim anyway, so it probably doesn't matter to them. It's kind of sad, but makes sense...
@Fiendish-Beaver
Yep totally agree with you, but it’s microsoft saying nothing which is so disrespectful and dam right wrong.
I’m that disappointed in this my series x has now gone and my PS5 soon to be Pro is my main console.
That is it for me, I’m not gonna have Microsoft disrespect me or keep me having on a thread like a puppet to manipulate.
I’m done, I’m gone.
@OldGamer999 As much as I agree with you about the way Microsoft are treating us Xbox players (I’ve been with Xbox since the original too) some of us have built up a massive library of games and friends list that we can’t just simply leave behind and start anew with PlayStation. Ngl if PlayStation was my main console I’d be buying the PS5 Pro but like I said having built up a digital library of games since the Xbox 360 and the fact Game Pass is saving me a fortune by playing day one games on the service, it’s just not as simply to just leave the Xbox ecosystem and starting all over on PlayStation after all these years.
I agree with you to some extent, @MaccaMUFC. However, in reality, you probably only have a few close friends that you game with, and if you all feel the same way, you can leave on mass when the PS6 comes out, and remain as a group.
Also, like you, I have been an Xbox gamer since the OG. Plus I have been all digital since the start of the Xbox One days. Unlike you, although I have GPU, I do not use it all that often, as I prefer to buy my first-party games. Don't ask me why, because I ask myself why I do it too, and I just don't know!
What I also do though is probably spend an average of £100 on games a month. Not on silly little cosmetics, or the like, but on games, all of which I own digitally. It's way too much, I know that, but what can I say? It's just something that I do. As a consequence I have an extensive digital library of games, north of 1600 in total, and I also have about 100 Xbox 360 discs. So, the decision as to whether to stick with Xbox next generation is very difficult for me, not just because I have been loyal to Xbox since the start, but also because of the sheer number of games that I own. However, the conclusion that I have come to is that I have no need to dispose of my Series X if I decide to move my business to the PlayStation. The console can remain under my TV, and I will continue to have access to all of my games. I'm also fortunate enough to have a capable gaming PC, so I can always turn to that for some of my needs, though I do not particularly enjoy gaming on a PC because something always seems to go wrong (though that is possibly just me!).
Anyway, you get my point; just because you move consoles, does not mean that you need to lose the ability to play your games...
@MaccaMUFC
It works for me as I’m a forward gamer, once played and done it’s done.
So the backwards games or games I’ve completed don’t matter much to me.
Also I do have a big PlayStation digital library as well.
So it’s an easy choice for me.
