I'll be sending of my WiiU to my sister so I will give it a last gaming day on Sunday. Smash bros and Yoshis Woolly world will be the games that occupy us but then it's farewell.
On Saturday though it's gaming as usual, Batman, Forza, sniper etc. Lots of fun!
Thanks for the review! I was curious about this game but now it feels like staying away from it was a wise decision. Hopefully the much better Starwhals will release on Xbox soon
@Red620Ti Haha, awesome review, I chuckled all way through. The arena battles sound really bad, but I don't have any of the toys anyway, so I'll just spend money on other games. The arena mode (and your review) might have saved me from being completely broke this autumn.
WiiU: I've decided to lend the Wii U to my sister as I haven't played on it for almost a year, but the release of Starwhals makes me think I'll keep it until it's out for Xbox. It's hilarious and it's hard to stop playing it if you have a friend around. Top notch!
I'm really looking forward to this game. I played the last Tomb raider while my girlfriend watched it like a tv-show. She liked how cinematic and well done it was and could ask "shall we play some tomb raider". It was quite fun because otherwise she has zero interest in video games.
I'm gonna play some Valiant Hearts and Forza 6 as well as other old and new indie games that battles for attention on my Xbox one.
@MegaKillScreen oh I loved Meteos, had so much fun with that game. I dropped the cassette from my Ds-case when I was on a trip a couple of years ago. That addictive gameplay, the ever increasing tempo(and stress) with that perfect sci-fi music! Thumbs up for playing that gem!
Besides an unhealthy large dose of Forza 6 I will play Guns, gore & cannoli, penarium and Leos fortune. Maybe Batman or DmC, but we'll see. Have a good weekend everyone!
Very true! You should be able to enjoy the games you like with out participating in a made up war. And like you say, Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony all have their strengths and weaknesses but they all offers people something they like, it's just that we have different taste. I can be a big fan sometimes and go on and on about how great a certain game is in my opinion but I don't go from there to badmouthing othet games or companies.
I like to thank the PureXbox staff for creating such a open and friendly environment where the writers are passionate about game and giving us well written and well thought out articles both for big and small news. I also like to say that the members also seem to be open minded and friendly whether they are multi-platform owners, or just having One
@Gamer83 Yeah I didn't start to play racing games on consoles until Playstation one, but played on PC since the SNES days, not with a wheel or a pad though, but with keyboard (I know awful). Racing wheels are probably the best but these days when the developers make great use of the controllers(not like project cars), I think it works fine with a gamepad. And like said, now I'm use to playing that way as well.
@Gamer83 haha, I'm the same kind of crazy and was thinking the same crazy thought! But as you said, it's hard putting down 150$ on a controller, even when it looks damn good and seems like a really high quality pad. But I really like the standard Xbox one controller, ergonomic, great triggers and great thumb sticks. Maybe if they'd made the original worse I would've picked up an elite.
@Gamer83 Yeah the showcase events are something else, great variety and challenging. The slalom events made me say "just one more try" so many times, it was almost like my tongue was stuck on repeat!
Forza 6 as much as possibly but also some gears of War when my ears need some rest from the roaring engines. Picked up trials as well, will check if it's any fun for me.
Yes! I nearly bought it on steam a while back but hold back because I've heard(on thi site actually) that it was coming to xbox. So soon it's finally time?
@A_BabyRed_Yoshi yeah, maybe they could've had a completion rate price system. Early in the career you could be given less money and worse price spins but when you're close to 100% you're drenched in wealth and uber price spins. Anything to not make getting the last few cars such a chore.
1000hours or 100dollar doesn't feel like a good solution.
@Captain_Chao5 Yup, not to long time ago and I really appreciate the extra cash.
Thanks for the reminder, I will check the hub to see if I have any new rewards waiting for me
@Gamer83 Ok, so GT is not exactly a yearly release, is it?
I just wanted to add that I'm very happy that they are more generous with payouts this time around. I'm that kind of guy that wants to be able to buy every car in a racing game and in Forza 5 and Horizon 2 you could play for hundreds of hours and beat every race and every challenge without being able to. This time I might finally succeed in getting a full garage (it's more cars than ever now though, so we'll see).
@Gamer83 I don't own a PS4 so please let me know how GT7 turns out. The first ones are classics!
I think this game is fantastic. The handling feels so right, each car feels unique and as mentioned, the performance is rocksolid and never messes up your racing. As with all Forza's it's a game for car lovers and if you aren't one the games can actually make you become(happened to me).
But as @Gamer83 said, Horizon 2 is just so much fun and I don't believe I can ever get that from a track racer again. But Forza 6 is amazing and I can highly recommend it. The structure in single player can be good or bad depending on your preferences, I like that you pass from what feels more like a career instead of just a dozen cups thrown around but if you can't freely choose once you've completed all volumes it's a little weak.
FORZA 6 Forza 6, Forza 6 and Forza 6! I really think they've nailed this one. Has the best parts of track racing plus a great handling that have taken fun from Horizon and injected it in the stellar racing found in the main Forza series!
I have also played a couple of levels in Lovers with a friend and that game is brilliant. Best coop game in a very long time!
@Gamer83 Seems to be a lot to do in the career, tons of car classes, different challenges and showcase events! I love the Horizon game and prefer them, especially over Forza 5(great game but doesn't have the right feel to the handling at times imo) but this one is golden
I'd vote for a criterion collection or a "gone but not forgotten" collection. Imagine great games line Burnout, F-zero, viewtiful Joe, sega Rally, timesplitters, streets of Rage etc in one package!
That's bad, and that price is not very tempting either. I believe @KelticDevil is correct, laziness and a poor attempt of cashing in alongside the new movie release.
@KelticDevil I feel you, cellphones are not ideal for lengthy texts and you shouldn't have to evaluate what you wrote any further than you did, I'm sorry that I made kind of an "smart-ass" reply, I didn't intend to do that . Was kind of slow(more than normally) and tired when I read your post.
I'm glad that games sell well on the Xbox, the exclusives are great and I don't feel like the multiplat games are inferior.
@DRL It's my pleasure! I really like your reviews, they show your appreciation for fun and intuitive gameplay and always give enough information to decide if it's a game I will enjoy or not. Well written and easy to read too. This one was one of my favorite, because I was on the fence about picking it up or not, after reading your review I did and it was a great choice! Money well spent IMO
Sounds great. I'm a casual player when it comes to baseball but I like that this game has a broad difficulty scale. Is there an option to play co-op against the CPU? That would probably seal the deal

Re: Review: Overruled! (Xbox One)
@MegaKillScreen wow, when you put it like that a 3 out of 10, almost sounds generous. So it's a very empty game I take it?
I'm glad that I didn't have to suffer through the ordeal of playing this game and I'm also glad that I didn't spend any money on it.
As I said I'm thankful for the review but it's always a little heartbreaking when a fellow gamer has to suffer through such horrid gameplay.

Re: Review: Transformers: Devastation (Xbox One)
I really want to give it a spin. I hope it will get a price cut at the next winter sale
Re: Deals With Gold Discounts Forza Horizon 2, Sniper Elite and More
Ultratron is definitely worth it for that price, I think it's good game for fullprice but with 75% of, it's a steal!

Wow, Limo! Will definitely try it out tomorrow!

Re: Cel Damage HD Plots a Course to Xbox One
Haha I had cel damage for GameCube! It was ok with some odd humor and crazy multiplayer. It didn't hold my interest very long, though

Yeah for games, boo for "console wars"
Re: Review: Penarium (Xbox One)
Nice, sounds ridiculously fun! When is the release for Urop or is it already out? What's the price anyway, 10$/£/€?
And it arrives! Price as I expected. I'm gonna give it a go!
Re: This is How Easy It is to Stream Xbox One Games to the Oculus Rift
If you stream from xbox-one, is the console doing the heavy lifting or do you need a decent computer as well?

Re: Out Today: Castle Crashers Remastered (Xbox One)

I no longer have a 360
Re: Review: Leo's Fortune (Xbox One)
Awesome review! The game sounds like a blast! Is it out in Europe yet?
Re: Norse Dungeon Crawler Trial By Viking Set to Plunder Xbox One
I like the fast pace but I'll have to admit that I find the visuals a little off putting.
Re: Review: Mad Max (Xbox One)
@DRL Thanks for the great review. I'm intrested because I'm a big fan of driving games but I think I'll wait for a price drop.
Does the desert landscape provide enough diversity or does it have kind of a majestic feel to win you over?
Re: Castle Crashers Remastered Launches This Week, Free for Those Who Bought the Xbox 360 Version
Good news for my empty wallet, bad news for my crowded backlog (and girlfriend).
Re: Talking Point: Now That Rare Replay is on the Shelves, Which Other Compilations Would You Like to See?

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Seventy
Aaaah. I'm having too many games too play! But I'll continue to build my backlog and spend my free time this weekend with Gears of War!
Re: Review: Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (Xbox One)
Alright, just have to wait till friday, then I'll play it for the first time in almost ten years.
Great review Dave, a little bit disappointing that they didn't boost the framerate in single player but all in all it sounds like a good remake!
Re: The Behemoth's Pit People Gets First Trailer
I love the behemoths games, been a supporter /fan since Alien Hominid!
Re: Out Today: Octodad: Dadliest Catch (Xbox One)

Re: Out Today: Octodad: Dadliest Catch (Xbox One)
@MegaKillScreen haha good one!
But what about the game? Is there any fun to be had there?

Velocity, giana sisters DR, Mega baseball and clash will share my attention!

That would be awesome! Burnout 3 here we go!
Btw; is that the Battletoad Rash, the Phil Spencer avatar is holding in his hand? If so, win!
Re: Mad World Returns In Latest Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Trailer
The original trailer is a masterpiece, as is the game.
I will pick this up, no doubt
