Re: So Long, And Thanks for All the Clicks

Wow I'm so sorry this hasn't worked for you all. I love all three sites and pure xbox is the first site I read when I come home from work each day. I'll truly miss you all and your great reviews and articles. I wish there was something I or we could do to help you keep it alive and get you some income. It's not a lot but I'd be happy to contribute monthly via patreon if you want to try that route. If you think there are enough readers at least. I'll keep checking back so if you try something like that I'll see it an be a part. Good luck to you all with whatever you do next.

Re: Editor's Opinion: The Logically Fallacious 32X Comparison

This could work and work well given how fast technology updates now. I just don't see it happening this console generation. This kind of addon needs to be thought of beforehand and normally there are expansion ports in the console for it like the saturn ram slot, n64 expansion pack, Famicom disk system port, etc, etc. The only thing the xbox has now is USB and there isn't enough bandwidth for anything meaningful to connect externally that way. I see this happening on the next consoles and being something similar to the mxm graphics modules like nvidia offers for their mobile graphics cards or a similar exchangeable module...either internally or something using a high speed external port like thunderbolt 3 or whatever is on the horizon. I may be wrong, but I just don't think usb 3.0 is going to be able to help us add any power to the Xbox one. Maybe there is an internal option I'm not aware of or maybe a large enough external USB graphics/memory module could work. Who knows.

Re: Shenmue 3 Could Be Coming to Xbox One As Well

I don't see what his reply to the question would make anyone believe this game is coming to Xbox, especially when Sony is helping with publishing? I'm all for it of course, the more exposure it gets then the better it will sell. Time will tell.

Re: Talking Point: Now That Rare Replay is on the Shelves, Which Other Compilations Would You Like to See?

jbrewer99

There's really only two things that come to my mind when we talk about a publisher or developer collection and that one by cave and one by Hudson. I'd love a cave collection similar to what Japan got as well as a soldier collection by Hudson on xbox one. I know the soldier collection was released for psp, but I mean all of the soldier series and updated to 1080p. Let's get the n64 and wii game on there as well as all the pc engine games and the updated star soldier that was released on ps2, GameCube, and psp. These would make my little shmup heart very happy. 😂

Re: Rare Replay Installation is One of the Largest On Xbox One

@Anthinator thank you for the quick answer. Makes sense although as a collector it's frustrating to think of buying a physical copy without all the games on it. At some point years from now the servers won't be available for you to download those 360 games again. Oh well I'm pretty sure I have physical copies of all their 360 games already anyway so for me it's not a deal breaker. It still would have been nice of them to just put them on two discs if needed. Dlc we all know won't be available for ever, but the actual games should be included if at all possible.

Thanks again for the answer though.

Re: Rare Replay Installation is One of the Largest On Xbox One

jbrewer99

Does that mean even if you buy the physical disc that you don't get every game on it? You'll need to download the 360 games from the marketplace? Or are you simply saying download from the disc to your Xbox? I know all games on the Xbox one and ps4 require the full game to be installed on the hard drive but the term used of download makes it confusing.

Re: Elder Scrolls Online Shifts Tactics, Gets Xbox One Launch Date

Hopefully they are working on a new single player game. I do applaud the option of buying the retail game then not paying a monthly fee, but we all know how well that works out for games. They ended up unbalanced and become pay to win and then finally a free mmo for a couple years before they are shut down. Good luck with this Bethesda.

Re: Discuss: Share Your Thoughts on the Evolve Big Alpha RIGHT HERE

jbrewer99

I've never been into PvP but got the invite for this as well as destiny alpha and beta. I didn't buy destiny because it had no story and this is way worse. Graphics are very nice but I have payed about 5 games as the monster and couldnt get into it. No talking at all but maybe hunters talk and I don't hear them, not sure. I think I heard their characters shouting out fund him when they spotted me a couple times but I don't think it was a person's voice, just in game sounds. No tutorial at all either which sucks, you pick a couple powers them it dumps you into the game to try to remember what button does what. I just ended up in traps and harpoon and wiped out. I might just suck though lol. Good luck to everyone else, I'm not saying it's not a good game as I'm sure it will be it's just not my cup of tea. I'm not going to ignore the chance to test an alpha or beta though. I'll give them my input but in the end, it's a beautiful game if you're really into all PvP and I'm sure a lot of people are nowadays. Have fun everyone playing it.
