@Gamer83 Yeah it was very understated in terms of promoting it, there were plenty of people attending though. Very much felt like a different focus to the PS Experience, it was more a case of putting Gamescom builds and upcoming releases in the hands of more gamers.
@Tasuki yeah I do get that, the actual game code for all of those would be nightmare to get hold of but at least all the properties full under Disney's roof.
I think we will see a revised Xbox One at some point, perhaps late next year once their aggressive bundling this year clears more inventory. However it definitely still feature a disc drive.
@DRL Runbow is so much fun! I played it at Developer session, got there a bit early and ended up being part of the stage demo! Wish it was coming to other platforms but Nintendo helped fund it so probably won't happen!
Been playing this (for the first time) and really enjoying the campaign so far, now I see why it was a big deal, whilst third person shooters have taken a lot of what was new in this and run with and iterated I still think this stands as an interesting footnote that still stands up. It very much took the corridor shooter and made it more interesting with it's cover mechanics, coupled with the claustrophobia caused by it's tight camera , juddering camera as you roadie run and large than life characters models really helps to hit this home.
hmmmm I think the intentions are different here somewhat....Capcom have come out and said through Digital Eclipse's Eclipse Engine their intention is for such games to be preserved and provided as they were. I'm surprised with that in mind they even provided the challenge modes. There's two ways of taking this...great digital versions that will always exist in some form or another for the day every NES cart dies or it's a cheap as chips cash in....Unfortunately it's easy to side with the second given that it's Capcom...
I really think beneath all of this there is a good game just perhaps not as well executed as it could be. Glitches aside from the Xbox version the Wii U version did not get incredible reviews either.
@A_BabyRed_Yoshi I have to think all of this is gearing up for some new Battletoads title. Along with backwards compatibility for 360 the toads have really been the poster child for Rare Replay.
Also in KI Rash even goes as far to say he is sick of all these cameos when he jumps on his hoverbike after winning a fight.
I would usually put this down as nonsense but a host of updates were just applied via patch to Obsidian's KOTOR 2 so who knows. Would be a day one purchase for me.
@A_BabyRed_Yoshi I do kind of feel the same BUT like I said in the article Resi 2 is somewhat under utilized. There was the N64 and Gamecube ports but past that but not much else.
@EternalDragonX Yep I'm with you on that I wold have preferred you stayed in the game and they were somehow wrapped up in that but perhaps it's truly down to how the 360 virtual machine runs. Perhaps even just having Rare Replay running in the background is even too much.
Hmmmm am I only one who thinks there is something fishy here? After they just announced Xbox One will follow the 360 model of two titles available for half the month each. We get one month of being like that before we see them change their mind and we get MGS for the whole month of August and then How to Survive until September 16th? I wager we don’t see a second game in September….
@Jairo_MC What is Metal Gear 3 like on the 3DS I've been contemplating playing, that and Peace Walker are the only games in the series I haven't finished. I own Peace Walker on PSP. Are you playing on Circle Pad Pro?
@Captain_Chao5 Current gen though Sonic is yet to appear on Xbox One and PS4 due to their deal with Nintendo.
@KelticDevil so that is due to change with this release...they've said the original disc is the only one you will ever need and that all the DLC will be free. This won't stop them from releasing renamed versions however your quite right but at least early adopters won't be forced to either buy it or upgrade by a lesser fee (which happened on Steam with IV)
@KelticDevil @Anthinator I will definitely play Banjo again, we played the hell out of it as kids but pretty sure we didn't actually finish it.
I'm intrigued about Kameo it was one of those games I wanted and wasn't able to play.
As for PDZ well Perfect Dark was one of my favourite games on N64 (man that Chicago level) and it reviewed well at the time but I guess people really do hate it I'll still play it and beat it!
@KelticDevil I'm surprised to hear you say that about Banjo. I know there were a lot of naysayers when it launched but then ever since I've heard it referred to as the "secret best Banjo game" by more than a few people.
@TeslaChippie hmmm I'm not so sure about this. Do you feel the same way about Streetfighter V even though Sony are helping finance it's development? I think timed exclusives are kind of joke but if a developer wants to make is given enough incentive to make an existing franchise exclusive why shouldn't they?
It's also funny how you only hear the uproar when it's franchises people care about no one is bothered that Sonic only appears exclusively on Nintendo platforms.
It's kind of annoying. I was looking forward to having a disc with all that content. I wanted the disc version from a collectors point of view. I think the method they are using with issues digital copies of the 360 games is kind of sloppy to be honest and will they also fill out your apps and games collection or can they only be launched from Rare Replay, are you getting the digital licenses so that you can launch them separately without the disc in? I'm sure there are tech reasons why this is happening , as has been mentioned emulation is still a work in progress and bundling all those games and the emulator wrappers on a disc that's presumably already being pressed may just not have been possible.
I don't mind that much hopefully the game can play part installed because I want to play Knightlore first it's been so so long since I played that game!
I never played Dishonored last gen but I did bank the digital version on 360 when it went on Games with Gold so I think I’m going to pick this up. Only issue is it’s out the same week as Gears of War and just a week before MGS V!
@A_BabyRed_Yoshi I think unfortunately their name isn't what it once was. As big a company as they are they haven't been able to keep up with biggest publishers and that's why we see below par releases like this. It's a real shame I've loved numerous F1 games down the years and this isn't going to be one of them.
@Utena-mobile yep the global world isn't real! When I joined this community I knew it would slowly become apparent that I didn't play 360 games so I'm glad I've come clean and people are welcoming me into the Xbox fold.
@Jairo_MC I'd be interested to hear why you made the switch? As I said us PS3>Xbox One gamers are a rare breed!
I was interested until I realized it was developed by Warner Bros Montreal. I had no real problem with Arkham Origins it was a perfectly functional Arkham game but it lacked that something that oomph which is enough to put me off.

Re: Afro Samurai 2 Dates and Details Confirmed, New Music Video Released
I loved the original game and it's the only anime I've ever watched and enjoyed, I'm less a fan of this pricing model however.

Re: Talking Point: Now That Rare Replay is on the Shelves, Which Other Compilations Would You Like to See?

Phil Spencer came out and said Games with Gold Xbox 360 games would work on Xbox One from this point forward wonder if this applies here?
Re: Round Up: Phantom Pain Reviews Suggest Metal Gear Solid V Hits the Spot
@Utena-mobile yeah the info dump at the end of 4 was nuts. However I'm somewhat disappointed that they seem to have gone the complete opposite way.

It's a bit sad that having said all of this that despite the game appears on stage at E3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEAVXFhTYKY it's had next to no coverage.
Re: Super Party Sports Football Gets Rated in Europe on Xbox One
Actually kind of looks ok...there is a tennis game that is similar on PS4 that has you whacking clowns.
Re: Gamescom 2015: All Xbox 360 Games With Gold From Now On Will be Backward Compatible
Weird I had no idea you have to register on the 360....but I'm trying to think when I did log onto a 360 with my current account...odd.
Re: Gamescom 2015: New UI Targeting September for Preview Program Members, Full Launch in November
@EternalDragonX see I like it but now by now by association of it's speed/lag issues I've grown to hate it.
Re: Gamescom 2015: All Xbox 360 Games With Gold From Now On Will be Backward Compatible
Ooooh very nice that Dark Souls is banked that on games with gold months ago.
Re: Gamescom 2015: Xbox One Game Preview Set to Get Four More Titles
So unless I'm mistaken We Happy Few was only confirmed for PS4 and PC thus far so I'm pretty happy.

@A_BabyRed_Yoshi Yes it has the mic jack built it on underside.

Re: Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Will Grace Your Xbox One in August
@KelticDevil The second is still good but not as good. Does some shall we say interesting stuff with the story.
Re: Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Will Grace Your Xbox One in August
@KelticDevil A fellow The Darkness fan! Loved that game stands up there as one of my favourite games of last gen.
Re: Ubisoft Confirms ZombiU is Coming to Xbox One as Zombi
It's a shame they didn't want to put the effort into using smartglass for that second screen experience in place of the game pad....
Re: Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Will Grace Your Xbox One in August
Fantastic game I will definitely be giving them my money for a second time.
Re: Psycho-Pass Mandatory Happiness Getting English Translation on Xbox One
I will definitely get this just because it's something different.
