Great review! I expected this game to be good considering that it is from the folks at Double Fine. Glad to see that it lived up to expectations. I may not have any kids of my own but I would love to play this myself. I really need to get myself a Kinect.
I just want to wish all of the staff and readers of Kinectaku a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year! I can't wait to see what 2011 brings to Kinect! Keep up the great work on the site guys!
I was under the impression that the Kinect was already available in Europe. I didn't know that you guys got it later than us. Oh well, I still don't have one myself so I guess I'll just sit here and be envious of all you Kinectimaniacs out there.
Good review Jon. This isn't a game that I want but if I'm buying a Kinect I guess that I will be getting it whether I want it or not. Personally, I would have much rather had Kinect Sports as the pack-in game. This just looks like a very pretty tech-demo and probably won't convince many hardcore gamers to give Kinect a shot especially at the already expensive $150 pricetag.
For a device that is supposed to be aimed more toward the casual audience, the people that are willing to wait in line to buy a Kinect at the Time's Square launch are pretty hardcore in my opinion. I'm not sure that I would actually be willing to do that but for two free games and a year of Xbox Live as a bonus, that is a deal that is too good to pass up. I may pick one up but only if I can actually find one available in a store.
The thing is that some stores already have Kinect in stock but are not supposed to sell it early. I went into my local Sears store yesterday and asked the sales person if they would be carrying and selling Kinect. He went to go check on it and not long after he emerged from the stock room with a Kinect in hand. He proceeded to ring it up for me but the computer would not let him sell it. I told him that it is a street-dated item and it shouldn't be sold until it's release date. So, I almost got myself a Kinect early but I wouldn't have been able to do anything with it considering this timed update Microsoft has in place.
I actually considered ordering a Kinect from Amazon a couple of days ago but hesitated and now look what happens. Oh well, I'll just wait until after the holidays to get one because I know that it will be next to impossible to find one at a reasonable price now.
I can't say that I'm really all that interested in any of these titles with the exception being Dance Central. However, I am optimistic that there will be plenty of interesting games in the future that will make Kinect a must-have device for any 360 owner.

Uh oh, I sense a disturbance in the force!
Re: Meet the New Sheriff in Town - The Gunstringer
I don't have a Kinect yet but this game might just convince me to pick one up. Even better, Fruit Ninja is bundled with it. That is pretty awesome.

Re: Microsoft to Throw $500m at Kinect Marketing Campaign
I wonder how much of that 500 million was spent to advertise and give away Kinects on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
