@stylon At the current time, nothing has been confirmed about that, so I'd have to say "no" right now. I'd imagine that next week's list will be jam-packed full of B/C compatible titles, though. B/C list announced on the 9th, new sale list on the 10th.
@Red620Ti One would suggest that it doesn't, although I'd be happy to stand corrected. It has ports on the base for headsets, but I don't think that the stereo headset adapter is going to fit.
@jasper81 I'd agree with that. I've had it sat on my Xbox since launch and I've only played it a couple of times. Really enjoyed what I played, so I should give it more of a chance. I just never really think "I know, I'll play Killer Instinct now" is all!
@KelticDevil Oh absolutely - all down to personal opinion.
I quite fancy DiRT 3 though. Never gave it enough time when it first came out. Knight Squad looks like it could be pretty cool to me - can't fault anything that claims to be "Bomberman meets Gauntlet" in my book!
Not quite seeing the problem here, if I'm honest. No, there aren't any big first-party titles in the lineup, but...
DiRT 3 - 87 on Metacritic Dungeon Siege 3 - 76 on Metacritic Pneuma - 63 on Metacritic (we gave it a 7...I'm not a fan of it, personally) Knight Squad - Unreleased, so nobody knows what it's like.
7.5 review score average across three titles plus one unreleased game. All playable on my Xbox One. Seems alright to me!
Fortunately in software development, you rarely release the very latest version of the code to testers. You release an earlier snapshot of the code to the wider world in order to test specific usage scenarios, so that they can be fixed in the latest version.
In short, if NXOE is ready for release on November 12th, the chances are that it's all but finished already and ready to go, with minor polish and fix work being done in the next couple of weeks.
@NaughtyOttsel22 And you sound like a raving fanboy who is flying very close to the flame and who is here to cause arguments.
We don't do the whole "LOL BUTTHURT MUCH" crap here. There's also no "us lot" and "you lot." We all play games on multiple platforms. If you want to go and rant and rave about consoles owned by other people or go off on YET ANOTHER long "SellOut Raider" rant (we get it, you aren't buying it, nobody cares), please find another site on which to do so.
@zerotheclown One excellent remake of an excellent game, 30 old games that are pretty much all held in very high regard, and one of the best indie games of the last 12 months, you mean.
@jasper81 I actually like the slow feeling of play, but I can totally see how some would feel it was a bit draining. Have you tried cranking up the game speed in the settings? That will either totally fix it or make it unplayable - it isn't something that I've tried yet!
@A_BabyRed_Yoshi In general, if you get a game as bad as this, you take as long as you need to work out WHY it is as bad as this and to be able to communicate those reasons effectively, honestly, and clearly. It's not really any different to reviewing a game that's really good or a game that's average.
In this case, I realised very quickly that it was all but identical to Rugby 15, which I had played extensively for my previous review, so that lessened the torture. I finished a few World Cups - when I was able to without being knocked out due to bugs - and explored the options that (claim to) make a difference to gameplay. All in all, it was a few hours of play.
@flameboy84 I'm down, yeah. I usually play career mode more than anything, but the increased AI difficulty level has me playing Ultimate Team offline "Seasons" mode a lot this year. Nicely challenging with my team of bronze players!
@jint456 You're right. You don't sound at all like an absolute fanboy. PES looks better, yes. I'm not denying that. But "cartoon" graphics? Seriously, now. At least try to have SOME basis in reality.
Thanks for questioning my reviewing skills when you think that an animation of a player not raising his head when playing a pass is something that changes the game in any way whatsoever, despite it not affecting where the ball actually goes. You talk about menus and licences not being important because GAMEPLAY is the thing (which we agree on), but then EA are to be ridiculed because a player doesn't look up when playing a long pass, even though it doesn't affect gameplay in the slightest.
Yeah, that makes all the sense in the world.
As for "simple things like passing on FIFA are made unnecessarily difficult" well...that isn't an issue with the game in this case. If you can't do it, then practice more or play on a lower difficulty setting. Everyone else who's called me out on Twitter, on here, and via email for my PES review (because "OH NO! How could you Ken! You didn't give it an undeserved 9/10 even though the keepers are terrible and the referee doesn't work!") says that the passing in FIFA is "on rails" and "too easy."
"plus with all their Scanning technology, why is PES still beating them with Player Faces" - What does this even have to do with anything? Gameplay is important, right? So who cares? You're generally playing from a camera angle where you can't see the faces. Player faces are as important as team licences and menus in this respect.
Not really sure what you want. Go play the game you enjoy. Have fun with it. Don't insult people for disagreeing with you.
Well, lots of nice comments about the pX community, so thanks for that everyone
Obviously, the community is small at the moment, but we'll be endeavouring to prevent it from becoming a fanboy haven. That's totally against how any of us who work on the site feel or want to be represented, so it's one of our key goals. Hope we can make it happen.
@Incrediblebraig As far as the terms go, it does state that EA reserves the right to remove games from the Vault as and when it pleases.
However, they haven't actually removed anything from there since the service started, so I assume that it's a case of once the games are in there, they're going to stay.
@lorenzobenzo1 I think PES 2016 is better in some areas than PES 2015, sure, but in other areas, it's worse. So it balances out, for me.
Regards to FIFA 16, the whole "passing with purpose" thing is just an advertising gimmick. You always could pass with purpose. All you needed to do was turn the passing assists off and passing was just as solid and purposeful as it was in PES. The whole "passes are on rails in FIFA!" thing is massively overblown by the PES fans, the same way that the "PES has no licences so it sucks!" thing is overblown by the FIFA crowd.
I'm only a few hours into FIFA 16 at this point and I'm not allowed to really mention scores, but I would need to uncover some absolutely huge failings for it to get down to a 6.5 (or a 6, since we don't use half-scores.)
@lorenzobenzo1 Hi Lorenzo. First off, thank you for your comment.
I absolutely respect your opinion, but there are a few things I would disagree with, personally.
"I have also noticed that the keepers sometimes concede on low shots, but have you noticed all the realistic and breathtaking shots they make?"
No, I really haven't. I've used a whole number of teams with a whole host of goalkeepers and yes, they save some long-range shots (not as many as they should), but they're all diabolically bad on short-range play.
"Have you noticed how your teamates run around constantly looking for open spaces? "
Sometimes they do, sure. Then there are the other times (which happens more often) when you have three teammates crowding you as you run down the wing.
"The collision system from the fox engine is flawless..."
I would disagree with this. Sometimes it is absolutely stunning, I grant you. But the collision system is the main reason the referees don't call fouls. Instead of a bad tackle being judged to be a foul, it's being judged as an innocent "collision" so that - for me - means that the system is far from flawless. Plus I'm not seeing all that many "chicken heads" in FIFA 16 so far, if I'm honest.
"The animations are second to none..."
Yep. Again, SOME of the animations are outstanding. Then you get the ones that can't be interrupted. Yes, you can use super cancel to get out of those, but you shouldn't have to. The game should respond to your inputs ALWAYS. Then you get the ones where a high ball comes over and your player floats a few yards so that he can be in the right place to volley it.
Plus, 7/10 isn't harsh, in my eyes. In our scoring system, 7/10 is "Good." Anyone thinking that 7/10 is actually a bad score is sorely misguided and far too used to other outlets that use 7 as an average on a ten point scale.
(As far as multiplayer goes, I had a good few games without any issues and a couple where it was a bit jerky. All in all, was good fun in multiplayer - although the goalkeeper issues led to games with HUGE scores. I don't think I played a match where there were less than 7 goals.)
@Surprise123 Oh nice! Someone disagrees with my opinion, so decides to call me a "knob." Very mature.
My criticism IS constructive. It mentions specific instances where the game fails to deliver to me, a fan of Konami's football titles since International Superstar Soccer on the SNES, including how tactics were altered in order to try to counteract the issues. Also, did you not see the link to the article where I wax lyrical about PES5? Oh right...you like the latest PES game and I think it's only worth a 7/10, so clearly I'm a FIFA fanboy who can't judge anything objectively.
As for the "highly intellectual and constructive criticizers" well...I'm sorry, but I don't see how they're highly intellectual if their job is to review a football game honestly and they spout 2,000 words about how great the game is, completely ignore the major goalkeeping flaws, gloss over the complete lack of fouls in a sport where fouls and free kicks are pretty important in a single sentence, totally ignore the rubber-band AI on all but the top difficulty level and then declare the product to be the greatest football game ever made.
Here, have a shot of "Coach Mode" (so my skills aren't involved) where I've set my team to my defensive formation to protect my 1-0 lead from the first leg, on Superstar difficulty.
"Best AI we've ever seen in a football game" is a quote from one review I've spotted. Oh, and the one foul you see there is for offside.
Think of a different sport. "This is the greatest tennis game of all time, but the umpire and line judges never ever call 'out' when the ball is a mile over the line. 10/10! Absolutely perfect!" - Would that sit well with you?
I'm not trying to be clever or intellectual. I'm trying to review a video game honestly as I always do, and which I have done here.
But thank you for your short stay. Disagreeing with me is absolutely fine, but calling me names while doing so gets you banned across the network.
@Red620Ti I would say so, yeah, although it would have to be pretty spiffy online co-op for it to work here. Lots of fast action going on, so it would be absolutely crucial that it didn't miss a beat.

Re: November Xbox One and Xbox 360 Games With Gold Revealed
@Emanouel The problem is that site has taken rumours and speculation and listed them as "Confirmed."
I'd be careful of using it to bank on.
Re: Xbox One Chatpad Set to Launch in November, Though Dates Unconfirmed
@Red620Ti One would suggest that it doesn't, although I'd be happy to stand corrected. It has ports on the base for headsets, but I don't think that the stereo headset adapter is going to fit.
