Compared to a lake, or a river, a swimming pool... well, ANY body of water that ISN'T a puddle, I'd say it's shallow. But yeah I probably could have written something wittier.
Remember, according to our scoring policy a 6 is "not bad" and still above average! Motion Explosion has some problems but overall it's an enjoyable game.
And believe me, writing those little taglines is my favorite part!
I wonder how many of those were the ones bundled with the console? I know I was at Toys R Us on the afternoon of Black Friday and I saw several of the 4gb model with the Kinect packed in get sold, probably because they were the best deal at $100 off.
Reading emotions isn't really THAT scary. What will be REALLY scary is when Kinect starts talking back to you. Maybe it's time to dust off the Milo project?
I want one of these so bad it HURTS. My wife is just as much of a gamer and a Star Wars fan as I am, but try as I might I can't convince her that we need to spend $400 on something we already own. =/
I bought Kinect knowing it would be more of a supplemental device rather than something I'd dedicate a lot of time to. I've always been impressed with the technological achievement of it, even moreso once it became a fixture of my living room and I can lazily navigate my dashboard without even needing to use my controller simply by ordering my Xbox to do what I want!
Not all the games have been hits, but the good has been VERY good and there's still a ton on the horizon I'm excited about. I knew Kinect wouldn't provide "hardcore" experiences but would rather be a place for weird ideas from idealistic developers to come to life and I have absolutely not been disappointed in that regard.
Remember, according to our Scoring Policy, a 6 is "Not Bad," which just means you need to do a little homework before you pick it up. It's certainly not garbage.
It's kind of a shame that they took out the voucher for Child of Eden, because now I feel like even less people will give it a try. I haven't gotten a chance to put Gunstringer and Fruit Ninja though their paces, but from what I hear they're excellent games.
The technology is nothing short of amazing; the experience of setting it up and navigating the menus just by moving my hand as well as being signed into Xbox Live because KINECT RECOGNIZED MY FACE is something I'll never forget. Not every game is going to be a hit, but so far the good ones have been great and I imagine they'll only get better.
In addition to what game studios are doing with it, don't forget that others are doing amazing things with it by hooking it up to a PC and tinkering with the software.
It's great news to hear how this game is shaping up. I loved the old Panzer Dragoon games (especially Orta!) so it's awesome to know that this will be worthy of its lineage.

Dear God no.
Re: Diabolical Pitch Launches 4th April
Sold.
Re: Dragon Ball Z for Kinect Revealed by Ratings Board
You could always collect the seven Dragon Balls and wish for a Kinect instead.
Re: Even Kinect Star Wars Succumbs to Kinect Dance Mania
If you don't do well in the dancing mini-game does Jabba drop you into the rancor pit? Because THAT would be awesome.

Re: Help Bodoink Get Made and Maybe Get a Steak Dinner
I'm tempted to toss them $50 just so I can get my name in a video game!

Re: Review: Blackwater (Xbox 360)
Sounds like the gun packed in with Cabela's Big Game Hunter: Hunting Party would have been a natural fit for this game!

Re: The Worst Kinect Photoshop We've Ever Seen
I do find it rather odd that they felt an Xbox 360 and Kinect were unnecessary for their photoshoot for a Kinect game. >_>
Re: Review: Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster (Xbox 360)
Ha, that's where I lucked out; my wife wanted the game even more than I did!
