Re: Review: Gungrave G.O.R.E - Addictive Arcade Action That's Definitely An Acquired Taste

I wonder if the American version was much worse, because I can't think of a worse game I played all year, and I did played quite a few gamepass stinkers when I wasn't on my superior (in every way) PS5. Very buggy, melees don't hit when they should, very repetitive, the train level was where I quit. I'd put this as a 4 at best, unless you're really into the gun grave lore.

4/10 is harsh. Now I haven't played the PC version, only the SeX version after two updates and I also turned that awful motion blur off. Probably put it as an 8, but I did like the humour and enjoyed the low IQ puzzles, similar to GoW: Ragnarok, not because they were challenging, but it broke up the action nicely. I would notate that there is a reason this game is selling and being played at a high level, despite it's flaws. Gamers enjoy stupid stuff once in a while, they want to laugh, shoot aliens, destress from real life (and it's various r-slurs) so a game like this provides an outlet for them. What I played was a competent, funny fps. Probably the most fun I've had on Xbox in the last few months, seems a lot of gamers feel the same.
