It's starting to become more of a common thing to see Xbox games being given away as part of Prime Gaming, and we've seen three examples of this in 2025 alone - including a new one that just went live last night.
Yes, you can now claim Xbox game Minecraft Legends for free via Prime Gaming from April to June, simply by heading to the official Prime Gaming website and logging into your Amazon account. It's available for both console and PC.
- Minecraft Legends - Xbox (Available on Prime Gaming until June 4)
- Minecraft Legends - PC (Available on Prime Gaming until June 4)

Despite how big the series has become, this game unfortunately wasn't that much of a success - it ended development less than a year since launch, and the reviews were pretty lukewarm for it back in 2023.
Nevertheless, it's still a free Xbox game that you can add to your library, and we're loving this trend of Prime Gaming giving away Xbox console versions as well as PC these days. May it continue for many months and years to come!

For anyone interested Minecraft Preview has the Vibrant Visuals update available for testing on all Bedrock platforms (except Switch afaik.).
It struggles with everything on ultra on native 4K resolution ( on Series X & PS5) & hovered around 30 FPS but dips way lower when loading chunks etc.
Drop the resolution to 2k though and it's solid on both machines and honestly for Minecraft lowering resolution doesn't really make much difference.
For the first release test of this I think it looks excellent and I expect it will get better moving forward.
( Edit: The Happy Ghast is also available for testing but I haven't had time to check that out yet.)
Minecraft Dungeons, Minecraft Legends, I hope next they do a Stardew Valley-like Minecraft.
I've got prime but had no idea Prime Gaming was a thing lol. Do you keep these forever or it a while you're a member of prime deal?
@MetalGear_Yoshi You keep them forever
@FraserG Cheers, Mr G! Will have to keep it open in a tab to check periodically. Guess I'll put it next to the Epic store tab lol. I'm a sucker for free games, even if I will never play them.
Edit: wow, they have a ton of free games for gog and epic too. Very cool. Ty for the heads up.
Got mine, thanks!
