With the Nintendo Switch 2 on the horizon, you better believe we're going to be inundated with comparisons between the Switch 2, Xbox and PS5 versions of games, and Street Fighter 6 is one of the first examples of that.
This is thanks to ElAnalistaDeBits on Youtube, which has put together a Switch 2 vs. Xbox Series S comparison for Street Fighter 6 that you can see up above - and the results are very similar between the two consoles.
There are actually two Xbox Series S versions that are shown off in this video, and that's because of "bugged" textures that are apparently the result of a slightly broken port. Here's how the analysis describes this:

The default Xbox Series S version does not run textures correctly. Although there are several ways to fix it, it is a tedious procedure and a bug that Capcom has no intention of fixing. Both versions are shown in this video. In any case, even with the textures corrected, the Switch 2 shows a higher resolution.
As you can see, it's mentioned that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Street Fighter 6 "shows a higher resolution", and it certainly seems at first glance like it's the better-looking edition compared to what we get on Xbox Series S.
Then again, this apparently isn't the best comparison because of that texture issue mentioned earlier, and we're also talking about a $299 console vs. a $449.99 console - so in that regard, the Series S holds its own really well.
So, what do you think about this? What other comparisons are you interested in seeing? Tell us down below!

The series S did come out 5 years ago, while this is just now coming out for Nintendo. I'd hope it could compete with the weakest console on the market
@FatGuyInLilCoat Exactly this.
One is a tablet and the other is a console.
One is 0.88 pounds and the other is 4.25 pounds.
The fact that the S2 can do 4k60 or even 1080p120 is quite impressive.
The question is... will the Series S help the Switch 2 get more games or vice versa?
@acmiguens I think it’s more Series S will help Switch 2 get more games than the other way around mainly because of Microsoft’s parity clause (where every Series X game has to work on Series S). Not only that but the Switch 2 is likely to sell decently well and it will also be a big hit in Japan most likely (it’s cheaper in Japan).
Besides developers can always use the “not enough player base on Xbox” card when it comes to 3rd party games.
Yeah yeah, some people already believe, Switch 2 can mess with PS5 and Series X. 😂 Believing is for free, gladly.
The series s is a great machine and I think the switch 2 will be a legendary console selling shed loads and thanks the series s it really should see a bucket loads of Xbox owned games ported over!
And the new from software game on the switch looks so good aswell!!
I will be dropping from series x to switch 2. But I will probably still keep buying the DLC for parity. Not sure yet. Really depends on what fighters the switch 2 gets overall. Probably gonna transfer all my Switch fighting games to Switch 2. I really need Bamco to jump in before I can move. Not worried about Capcom although i hope they port Ultra 4 now.
@acmiguens I think the Switch 2 is going to help the S. It just makes economic sense for the majority of developers to target the Switch 2 specs rather than Series X and PS5. As result there will be less games that are speced above the Series S capabilities.
I think switch 2 is a big threat to series s audience. Basically people who dont care much about performance but wants modern games. Switch 2 basically series s with portable mode, proper exclusives and all nintendo bells & whistles.
Series s is a steal at its price point tho, so sure its still competitive in that aspect. Also the GP factor.
However, Data shows though that people are happy to overpay 100-200 for a “better” console. Basically reason why ps5 outsold series s dramatically.
@FatGuyInLilCoat yeah but if you think in a way that switch 2 is a hybrid console that has similar to series s performance, will have way better support due to bigger sales, nintendo exclusives and all bells&whistles. Seems like a solid choice to upgrade from SS imo
As far as I was aware the Switch 2 has higher specs then the Series S? Or am I wrong here? It should run games better then that potato of a console
@FatGuyInLilCoat the series s still has better textures and lighting 😂
$400+ for the switch 2 is a joke
@Link41x it doesn’t 🤣😂🤣
@Millionski you have to add a pro controller cost to get to have a fair comparison with a series s. That’s a problem.
Ah, people already writing off Switch 2 before it's even launched. History repeating itself I see...gamers certainly have short memories.
Switch outsold every single console last gen and this gen combined. I wouldn't be so quick to write off Switch 2 just yet...
@DalamarX I didn't say, I don't want a Switch 2. I'm just realistic.
I don't care about the 3rd party games on Switch 2, because I have a Series X.
But I want to play Mario Kart and Donkey Kong.
But I won't buy a Switch 2 day 1.
Once I get a Switch 2 down the road, Street Fighter 6 won’t be a game I get on there. Satisfied with just having it on the Series X.
What's interesting is that Cyberpunk runs notably worse on switch 2 than series S, which is surprising to me
@Millionski i think it'll have decent support for about 2 - 3 years. Then ps6 and next xbox will come out and devs aren't going to want to support those specs. This is exactly what happened with switch 1, despite 100+ million sales. Specs matter in the end. Even the series s almost missed out on some games because of its specs. Also the value of gamepass versus spending 80 dollars on first party games will go a long way in people deciding what to do.
How is anyone playing a fighter with that?
C'mon now, show the genre some respect!
Lmao at trying to downplay this.
It's a console versus a handheld tablet. Switch 2 is impressive. People never willing to give Nintendo compliments on their hardware they always have to talk down about it always.
Can't wait for all the devs that couldn't manage to downscale their games to run on the Series S, magically getting their games downscaled to run on the Switch 2.
