In May, Microsoft's Forza series will turn 20 years old, and Team Xbox has some big anniversary plans for 2023's Forza Motorsport as a result. Turn 10 Studios has announced that as part of the game's 20th anniversary update, Forza Motorsport 4's "legendary" Fujimi Kaido track will make its grand return in the latest title.
Fujimi Kaido, a fictional Japanese track that's stuck in the memory of longtime Forza fans for years, has been "fully recreated to modern standards in our biggest track project ever", says the team. Turn 10 adds that it "can’t wait for you to slide sideways once again" as the dev "works to refine and polish this Forza original track for integration into the game this May".
"Since the release of Forza Motorsport in October 2023, our team has been fully recreating Fujimi Kaido to modern standards in our biggest track project ever! Race and drift on the Full Circuit or Full Circuit Reverse that stretches 10.24 miles in length featuring 144 extreme turns and a 2,711-foot summit.
Our goal is to recapture the magic of drifting with your friends on the massive stretches of serpentine Japanese mountain roads at Fujimi Kaido, and we can’t wait for you to slide sideways once again as we now work to refine and polish this Forza original track for integration into the game this May."
The Xbox studio goes on to say that the addition of Fujimi Kaido "is only the start of our upcoming anniversary content" and that "some highly requested cars, unlockable driver suits, special events in both Career and Featured Multiplayer, new themed Rivals challenges, and more" will come to Forza Motorsport in May 2025.
You can expect to hear more about this big anniversary update, alongside footage of the returning FM4 track, "as we approach the release of the update" in the coming weeks.
Hyped for this legendary FM4 track to come back? Forza fans, drift on down below and tell us what you think.

Oh wow. Has it really been 20 years 😳
@Kaloudz Wow! And I just bought the original Forza for my OG Xbox. I want to remember where it all began!
I do love that track, always said if they do ever do Forza Horizon Japan they should build the world around that track.
@LostInBlue0 Ah man, age eh? how does the OG Xbox stack up these days? I was close to picking one up.
This is awesome stuff, can’t wait to do some laps on it
Great stuff, was only wondering the other day when we might get a new track added.
While cool and in need of for a return or a hillclimb.
I'd like to see Alpine Raceway return. Or Shipyard. But I like seeing some hillclimbs or point to point as open world games exist but it isn't the same thing.
Literally bought FM1 like a month or more ago and had a blast. It's way better then 2 being graphics but less tracks I cared for and the improvemenets are there but 1 just has more going for it especially point to point events or the few differences.
FM2 felt like GT3 graphics first but unlike GT3 it has less to it to be appealing because the test track is only in the opening events while FM1 has more going on of the other tracks besides the big test track in full that FM2 breaks apart more.
FM2 has benefits but none of the customisation matters to me and the physics sure but otherwise the content drop was noticeable. So to me FM1 has been a blast to play for it's time. FM3 & 4 have differences but don't feel worse then either to me of events or presentation. They have different content sure but neither feel inferior.
FM5 to 7 vary and 6 is too hand holding while 5 and 7 I can quick out to any event. FM1 to 4 don't have as big of a class focus that modern racing games do to bore me and their boring race, drift, derby but 2 events only. When we got so many and GT7 keeps up where FM8 fails to do what FM1-7 did of event variety. So a hillclimb is nice but it doesn't change much.
V Rally 4 was like lets have 5 types of events and vehicle classes. Yet 2, 2 and 1 are the same in their own way based on their rally formula. So to me it made no difference.
So this track is cool but I mean the rules aren't that different really to use it. It's why Midnight Club LA didn't impress me the event rules were so who cares of difference. A street versus a highway versus others (besides pink slip, but even Juiced had like 3 different drift event types rules for it besides other race ones and pink slip and is circuit/menu based, even NFS series older entries have impressed me more) didn't really seem different enough so I didn't see the point in it. Sure the atmosphere, nostalgia (I didn't have that and I don't judge by nostalgia, I judge by quality, I'm buying games I have never played niche or popular) but the events aren't compelling at all of rule variation to me to be exciting. So the presentation meant nothing to me compared to other circuit, rally, street or open world games at all.
Even touge would nice to see return in any racing games. It's sad Grid had it in the first game then dropped it. TXR is nice to see but the Drift sub series mattered to me more then the highway battle ones like the main series.
Or even better event variety cough bowling or others Forza Motorsport dev team, where it is?
Where is sprint aka 1 lap magic as the GT name that came first but Forza Motorsport 6 and 7 did fair with.
Where is the event variety in games these days?
Do people still play Forza motorsport have not heard anything about this game since launch. Honestly I enjoyed Forza motorsport 5 got it with my one back in the day but found fm 6&7 to similar and when I tried this one on gamepass last year (when I had an Xbox) I was bored to tears playing it.
Removed - flaming/arguing
@Dalamar73 😮 not trolling I heard it wasn’t that good and I rarely hear anything about this game anymore it’s normally fh5 that people talk about.
@Residentsteven
Okay, fair enough. Anyway, even though I've not played the latest FM it looks to be as polished as the majority of the other entries. It's only real problem, certainly as I see it, is that it requires a mandatory online connection to play. Games with a single player career that come with this requirement really sticks in my craw.
Until that is removed I'll be sticking with FM7 - which remains excellent.
It's about damn time. I'm extremely happy to see Fujimi Kaido return, but it's hard to pat them on the back when it should have been there already.
Hopefully this means they got the licensed-track boner out of their system and can now start releasing the tracks that people actually want.
Is this the track that went up a mountain, tons of tight roads with hairpin turns, and lot of cherry blossoms in scenary?
If so, I've waited long, long, time play that track again!
@XxEvilAshxX Licensed tracks are super important. More is good. Not think can have too many.
But I do absolutely agree fictional tracks are absolutely a blast. Like one mentioned above, the Alpine Track. Believe that is Switzerland flavor. The track is amazing to drive, the snow is insanely beautiful. I played hours and hours on that track alone.
