Today's the day for the INZOI early access release on PC - a game that's been getting an incredible amount of hype for its similarities to The Sims - and we know that it's "expected" to release on Xbox consoles in the future.
As mentioned in our "INZOI Coming To Xbox" guide, the developer has confirmed that an Xbox version is planned. The Xbox release date for INZOI has not yet been revealed, aside from that it'll be coming "later" after the PC version.
InZOI will only be available on PC (Steam) and is later expected to be released on consoles like PS5 and Xbox. Any other website/entity promising access to the game outside of these mediums should not be trusted.
So, what about the reviews? INZOI only went live in early access a few hours ago, but it currently has a "Very Positive" rating on Steam as things stand. A lot of people seem to be quite surprised at how much they're enjoying it so far:
Sparx419 on Steam: One of the biggest wins for InZoi is its open-ended gameplay. Instead of being locked into rigid, pre-designed interactions, it feels like you have more organic ways to develop relationships, careers, and daily life.
The open world is also a huge improvement over The Sims' instanced neighborhoods. You are free to explore seamlessly without loading screens breaking immersion, making the world feel more alive and connected. You are also in direct control of your Zoi, able to walk and run using traditional controls, rather than being locked to the "click here to move" system, which is still present for those who want it.
APPLESHAMPOO on Steam: I love this game already. It’s incredible and easily one of the most important releases of the year, right up there with GTA 6 in terms of innovation. The team has done an amazing job and deserves props for it!
It certainly feels like INZOI is about to become something huge on PC, and these positive reviews are obviously going to help with that. A lot of people have pointed out how much potential the game holds, with some suggesting that The Sims is in big trouble if INZOI can continue to grow significantly over the next few months and years.
It's not all good news though. We've definitely spotted some negative opinions on Steam as well, with certain players pointing out that it lacks content and is "riddled with bugs" as things stand. Here's one "negative" example:
muaru on Steam: It's not as simple as a yes or no here. Honestly, this game has some really innovative and funny stuff in it. The 3D object creator is awesome, the AI emotes and other generation options are very cool. The game itself looks really pretty. The level of customization is literally off the charts.
But the thing is, there isn't really any content to play right now. So if you don't enjoy designing houses, zois, your city, or furniture/clothing assets and such, then you aren't going to have fun with this yet. It really isn't a "game" yet, there are really only the creative sandbox tools right now.
I haven't got my hands on INZOI yet, but looking at these early reviews, it feels like we're probably in the best boat as Xbox players. Sure, there's no release date for INZOI on Xbox thus far, but by the time it comes to Series X and Series S (which I assume will be 2026), it should have evolved quite substantially with a bunch of new content and bug fixes.
In other words, here's hoping we get something special when INZOI finally arrives on Xbox! I'm keen to know what you think about this one, anyway - do you have any interest, or would you rather just stick to The Sims?
inZOI is a life simulation game where players step into the role of creators, shaping the world as they envision and witnessing the various stories that unfold. Through this immersive experience, we aim to inspire players to appreciate life as the profound gift it is—a journey that is filled with meaning at every turn.

Good for them. It's nice to see The Sims have some competition - might help to keep both of these games on their toes for content delivery and expansion price (Vs value).
Not something I think I would enjoy but I guess cool for folks who want a second life (but don't want to play Second Life.)
But can I put them in the pool then remove the ladder, is what I want to know.
I made my zoi and I'm currently building a simple house. Not sure what to think yet, of course, but I look forward to playing more today.
And this little indie game is ahead of AC Shadows in terms of sales on Steam... ask yourself the right questions about Ubisoft and its "player count" spiel.
Kinda tempted to buy this ....not sure if it's my thing necessarily...but I could imagine my missus living on this kinda game for a month or so(if it was as on console) untill she has had enough lol..
I kinda liked the Sims but fell off those games, this does seem very interesting in the way it just has much more open ended gameplay. If a review doesn't totally convert me then probably on a sale
I give it about 5 minutes until modders lewd the **** out of it and the next generation of 3d erotica is born lol
@Gmork Inzoi has a huge hype surrounding ever sind it was announced. The sims community is huge and I zoi is touted as the sims killer. So yeah it's not that surprising that it's pushing huge sales number. AC shadows on hte other hand is also available on ubisoft connect and is available on ubisoft+ (subscription service). Many ubisoft games on steam have Issues because you need to link ubisoft connect and steam and this leads to many problems. This is not just the case for AC shadows but every ubisoft game. I have shadows on ubisoft connect and not on steam due to this connection/linking issues. So steam numbers for ubisoft games aren't the tell all.
Edit: also franchise fatigue is a factor too.
