Update []: It turns out Unknown 9: Awakening is only a two-hour free trial, which is obviously a bit of a disappointment, although it doesn't require Game Pass to play.
"Unknown 9: Awakening is free for all Xbox members to try from Thursday March 13 at 12:01 am PT until Sunday, March 16 at 11:59 pm PT (Xbox Game Pass Game Pass Ultimate, Standard and Core membership not required) as a 2-hour timed trial."
Original Story: Welcome to your latest Xbox Free Play Days lineup! This week, we've got three titles making up Microsoft's FPD selection, including intriguing action-adventure game Unknown 9: Awakening - which only launched in October 2024.
Here are all of the Xbox Free Play Days titles you can get stuck into this weekend:
As usual, you'll need a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Core, Xbox Game Pass Standard or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to take part in Free Play Days each weekend. The majority of these games are strictly FPD titles and will be playable until late on Sunday, March 16 - although ESO is accessible to all Xbox players until March 20th.
If there's anything here you want to play beyond their free trials this week, Bethesda's Elder Scrolls MMO is a part of the Xbox Game Pass library, while Unknown 9 is also 50% off right now as part of an Xbox sales promotion.
Xbox Free Play Days - How To Download The Games
- Search for the game on the Xbox Store
- Hit the "Install, Included with Game Pass" or "Free Trial" button
- Play the game!
Will you be putting some time into any of these games this weekend? Let us know down below.

I'm surprised that ESO is not yet a F2P game. It must be still making quite a bit of cash.
