The studio behind 2024's Silent Hill 2 remake — which isn't on Xbox yet — has announced another partnership with publisher Konami for an upcoming title, and this time the game will be coming to Xbox Series X|S.
Following Konami's announcement of this project earlier today, Polish site Bankier has posted developer Bloober Team's legal filing on the matter, with the studio also based in Poland. Anyway, here's the report after being roughly translated - and it clearly mentions Xbox Series X and S as target platforms:
"The Management Board of Bloober Team S.A. with its registered office in Kraków (hereinafter referred to as the "Issuer") hereby informs that on February 25, 2025 it entered into a material agreement with Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd, with its registered office in Tokyo, Japan (hereinafter referred to as "KONAMI"), regarding the production of a game by the Issuer for PC, PS5 and Xbox X/S platforms, based on IP owned by KONAMI, under the code name Project 'G'."
As for what this game actually is, well, the two teams are yet divulge that information. However, given Bloober's somewhat unexpected success with Silent Hill 2, many believe this next partnership will produce another game in the famous horror franchise.
Over here on Team Green, we're still waiting for Silent Hill 2 to show up on our consoles; having been a PS5 and PC exclusive since its launch last year. We are expecting it to move over at some point though, as we detailed in our recent guide on all things Silent Hill 2.
What do you want this Konami game to be? Tell us your top picks down in the comments.

Silent Hill 3 would be a safe bet, no?
@Kaloudz Would be weird to go right to Silent Hill 3 without redoing the original game first.
I mean, I guess they could "tell the story" of Silent Hill in a Silent Hill 3 remake (as some kind of a prologue video or something) but that would be kind of a cheap way to go about it.
@Kaloudz Eventually yes but SH1 is still locked on the PS1 and should be remade first. Also, the G in Project G is speculated to stand for Gillespie (SH1 antagonist) & Project H to stand for Heather (SH3 MC).
That’s good news.
@UnusedBabyWipes @GamingFan4Lyf That's true. I suppose SH1 makes more sense but, and forgive me if I'm wrong as I haven't played many, but none of the stories connect so they? Like, there's no overarching plots are there?
Also, is there much story to SH1? I haven't played it myself but I almost never hear about it the same way I do SH 2/3.
Bomberman: Act Zero 2.
@Kaloudz SH1&3 are the only narratively connected games.
Slight spoiler
In SH1, the MC is Harry and Heather is his daughter.
@UnusedBabyWipes Ohhhhhhh I see. Oh okay then that definitely makes more sense to go back to 1 first.
A really cool way of subverting everyone's expectations of releases is doing the remakes in this order 2, 1, 4, 3.
From a thematic and narrative point of view it also works as a way to guide the player down into the deeper lore of Silent Hill. Not to mention that finishing the remakes with 3 gives the series a proper sense of atonement from a thematic and gameplay perspective even if we know the series continues past 3.
Another former PS exclusive on Xbox, it seems there are more former exclusives on Xbox than the other way around. Even Death Stranding 2 will be released on Xbox. No one makes permanent exclusives anymore, but the fact is that Xbox has more exclusives than PS, even if some are temporary. Just look at Xbox's lineup with Stalker 2, Avowed, South of Midnight, Mechabreak, etc... And what about PS? Nothing!
Square Enix, Capcom, and many publishers have stopped making exclusives for PS, and Konami will be the same. It was an old contract, but Konami is also stopping exclusives with PS.
And when you know that PS makes very few first-party games + the fact that most of their exclusives are from third party = fewer and fewer PS exclusives.
Meanwhile, Xbox is cooking up exclusives and multiplatform games for Game Pass and for Xbox players first!
@fatpunkslim And what about PS? Nothing!
Days Gone Remastered, The Midnight Walk, Lost Soul Aside, Death Stranding 2, Ghost of Yotei. So I count 5 that we know of so far, and I wouldn't be surprised if another 1 or 2 get announced later in the year. And at least 8 more games on the way after that for 2026.
So a deecent amount of nothing apparently.
@Utena-mobile Im not sure how well 4 would do as it was always the weakest of the originals despite having a pretty creepy vibe to it when you where back in the room. 1 and 3 I can see working but I doubt they would ever bother with 4.
It's fine I will stick to Silent Hill HD
"Over here on Team Green, we're still waiting for Silent Hill 2 to show up on our consoles; having been a PS5 and PC exclusive since its launch last year"
Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath for SH2 on Xbox anytime soon, given Sony's notoriously long third-party exclusivity deals...
There are so many games that are now on xbox or will be on xbox: kena bridge of spirits, stray, sifu, death stranding, bunch of square enix games including ff16 and 7, metal gear solid series, silent hill 2 remake, etc
No one just talks about it because does not fit the narrative
@fatpunkslim you can't be serious? Lmao 🤣
@Ilyn Oh, you're probably right, but that would be a shame. SH4 is definitely the hardest, and it's also a game that actively hates the player (lol), but from a lore standpoint it's the most interesting and strangest of all the Silent Hill games.
Btw, the reason I mentioned that order was because I was thinking of how they would play thematically for new fans.
Sh2 - shows how the town affects people with their inner demons
SH1- shows how the town became the way it is
SH4- goes really into the cult and what they believe.
SH3- considering how it ends and who ends it, makes for a satisfying conclusion to the remake series.
@Millionski Are you seriously wondering why people aren't talking about those games? Well first off, FF16, FF7 and Silent Hill 2 remake aren’t even on Xbox. Why would people talk about them?
If you take away those 3 games, you just mentioned a few indie titles and a bunch of 3rd party series that have been multiplat since the PS360 days. Why would people talk about that now? 🤷🏻♂️
No narratives going on, besides the one you’re creating for yourself
@fatpunkslim “it seems there are more former exclusives on Xbox than the other way around”
This must be a joke, right? Seeing as Xbox is in the middle of porting it’s exclusive games library to PS5.
“but the fact is that Xbox has more exclusives than PS, even if some are temporary. Just look at Xbox's lineup with Stalker 2, Avowed, South of Midnight, Mechabreak, etc... And what about PS? Nothing!”
