Indiana Jones and the Great Circle bookended Microsoft's 2024 for big game releases, and it sounds like Bethesda developer MachineGames is already hard at work on the next thing over at Xbox HQ.
In a new LinkedIn post from MachineGames' Nicole Åkerlid, the Swedish studio is said to be "working on some pretty cool things here after the release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" and it "wants more people to join in this next chapter of ours".
Of course, this fairly innocuous hiring post doesn't give too much away, but given that MachineGames clearly wants to grow after what was an ambitious Indiana Jones release last year, this is a pretty cool update to hear ahead of their next major project.
As for what that could be? Well, nothing concrete has been announced just yet. However, we do know that one story expansion — called The Order of Giants — is coming for The Great Circle, while Bethesda stated all the way back in 2021 that more Wolfenstein will happen one day. We'll have to wait and see about that, but for now, we're very much looking forward to seeing what MachineGames cooks up with this upcoming Indy DLC.

Can't wait for the Indiana Jones dlc to drop great game I enjoyed every bit of it!
Couldn't really get into the Wolfenstein games.
I'm really enjoying Indiana Jones, though have my game on hold as I await their new DLSS update this week but I'll be very interested in first it's dlc and then what the studio get up to next
Machine are top tier. Absolutely loved their IJ game and I read somewhere that the IP owners are interested in more. I'd love a sequel. That was a close contender for GotY for me.
@carlos82 It that update for Xbox aswell?
@Ricky-Spanish not the DLSS part obviously but I would expect it to be for Xbox consoles as well as they mention its also for bug fixes
Interested to see what they do next. IJ was a big project for them so here's hoping they build off of that success. Another Wolfenstein game would be my desire, but if they have a good idea let them at it.
My only worry is if they get roped into doing a project they're not suitable for. Bioware and Arkane both had a reputation for story driven single player games, but got strongarmed into making online multiplayer shooters which flopped.
I hope it is Wolfenstein 3 and we are back as blazko during the 20 year gap with the gameplay from new colossus expanded.
Bring back that hatchet too, it had the best melee kills and while at it allow the man to use it as a dual wield with a gun
The sooner they get this Indiana Jones side project out of the way, the sooner they can continue the real work - Wolfenstein 3.
Past half way with Indy and have to say it’s fantastic. Interested in whatever’s next
I actually just started Indy last night and I know this has been mentioned before, but "WOW!" the AI really is terrible. The game looks great and plays great, but the way in that the AI reacts or doesn't react from time to time, is quite immersion breaking for me.
