Indiana Jones and the Great Circle may have launched too late to pick up any prizes at The Game Awards last month, but not all ceremonies have such a cutoff date, and a new prize for the 2024 title has now come in. Presented at the New York Game Awards this month, Troy Baker's performance has netted them the 'Best Acting in a Game' prize for their work on Xbox's Indiana Jones title.
Really, this should come as no surprise. Baker did an absolutely stellar job at delivering an authentic video game take on the cinema legend - so much so that even OG actor Harrison Ford enjoyed what he did with the character.
Here's the full list of nominees for that particular award, including the winner:
- Abubakar Salim as Zau, Zuberi and Griot Echo in Tales of Kenzera: Zau
- John Eric Bentley as Barret in Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth
- Hannah Telle as Max Caulfield in Life is Strange: Double Exposure
- Melina Juergens as Senua in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2
- Troy Baker as Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle - WINNER
- Humberly González as Kay in Star Wars Outlaws
This was Xbox's only real win at the New York Game Awards 2025, although a selection of third party titles that appear on Xbox did take home some prizes. As you can see up above, Xbox's Hellblade 2 also competed in the Best Acting category, but ultimately lost out to Indiana Jones.

All brilliant performances. Though I am surprised not to see Luke Roberts nominated for Silent Hill 2 and, frankly, the entire cast of Still Wakes the Deep. That game has more authentic dialogue than any game i've ever played, it just flows like real conversation. Incredible writing, direction and delivery. Snubbed everywhere.
But congrats to Troy Baker, he was absolutely BRILLIANT as Indy.

Troy baker is great and a big deal in gaming but he still seems like the discount option here instead of getting the actual person.

Outstanding. He really deserved that. He nailed the voice exceptionally well.
He does do a great job in fairness probably sounds more like Indiana Jones now than Harrison Ford at this moment in time!
He does a really good job and has some proper Indy lines to deliver. I love the bit where Voss calls him a ‘pathetic little man’ and he replies ‘Better than being a Nazi!’
A tough field though - Hannah Telle and Melina Juergens were both brilliant too.

Great to see. Troy is one of my favourites and I’m glad he’s getting the recognition he deserves. I wish James McCaffrey won something before he passed. Love to hear his voice in Max Payne, Control and Alan Wake.
I'm happy about it! I love everything about this game, and he is a big part of it.
