Ever since we first saw Mouse: P.I. For Hire in action (when it was simply known as 'Mouse'), we've been super interested in what developer Fumi Games is cooking up - and a new social media post from the team aims to inform us that its upcoming FPS isn't all about the game's iconic visual style.
Inspired by 1930s cartoons and often compared to 2017's Cuphead in the graphics department, Mouse: P.I. For Hire's maker wants us to know that it's building "an explosive first-person shooter (and so much more!)", and that the title "is NOT just a fancy art project".
We're liking the team's gung-ho messaging here, and we're definitely holding out hope that there's going to be a decent FPS experience hidden behind these beautiful visuals. The fact that the team also says there's "so much more" to the game beyond an FPS is piquing our interest.
For now, all we know is that Mouse: P.I. For Hire is aiming to launch for Xbox consoles sometime in 2025 - lets hope Fumi Games makes that release window with this unique-looking FPS.
