Back in October, Xbox added a new console feature that allows users to create their own custom gamerpics — including the option to use game captures — which is a pretty neat addition. We haven't tried this out since the update rolled out to everyone, but Xbox's Eden Marie has taken to social media to show us exactly what the feature looks like.
Using a cool Indiana Jones and the Great Circle screenshot, Marie has created her own gamerpic here that focuses on the man himself. The initial image is at a much wider angle - but using the new toolset you can zoom right where you'd like to for the perfect shot.
Here's the Xbox engineer's example, shared on Twitter:
This looks like a fairly flexible feature, and we're tempted to go trawl through some old screenshots to see what we can create with it. The system's default gamerpic options are okay right now, but they're definitely limited, and this opens up a bunch of new possibilities without having to upload images from external sources.
That October update also added a new Xbox Store option that allows users to enable or disable deal notifications for when games get discounted, alongside an option to recalibrate triggers when you've replaced a controller's circuit board. These features should now be live for everyone on Xbox consoles.
Will you be making use of this new Xbox feature? Tell us in the comments down below!

That's a pretty cool feature. Not that I even know what my gamerpic is anymore, but I might look into updating it.
However "With great power comes..." TTP (time to p*nis) or TTT (time to t*ts), I wonder if they have some sort of AI filter to prevent people doing this and getting themselves banned.
Still using the same pic I chose 3 years ago so I'll hopefully find something else using this.
I did not know about this. Time to put my screenshots to use!

Good option but in fairness you can just literally Google anything you want as well and use it!
Haven't changed my Gamerpic since I last updated my 360 Avatar like 12 years ago. Don't plan to.
Hey that’s cool, I never knew you could do this but like somebody else has already mentioned, You could also search for a picture and use that but it’s a nice feature to be able to have.
