We've been waiting ages for Xbox Cloud Gaming to expand to games that aren't part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate library, and it sounds like the time has almost arrived - Xbox employees are literally testing the feature right now.
This is according to The Verge's Tom Warren, who has revealed 10 games that are being tested internally:
- DREDGE
- Dying Light 2
- Hades
- High On Life
- Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
- Metro Exodus
- PGA Tour 2K23 (Xbox One edition)
- The Crew Motorfest (Xbox One edition)
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition
The plan, apparently, is for members of the Xbox Insider program to gain access to this feature at some point in November (so yes, this month!), before it eventually rolls out to the public in the future. Apparently, the goal is to support thousands of titles through Xbox Cloud Gaming, but we don't know how many will be available at the beginning.
Another question is whether you'll still need to be subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in order to access these titles via the cloud, and we're assuming the answer to that is yes. Hopefully we'll get some clarification very soon.
