Following reports of Xbox Cloud Gaming allowing users to stream their own games very soon, we've now got more evidence of this rollout surfacing online.
As highlighted by The Verge, a developer behind 'Better xCloud script' has seemingly discovered references to "stream your own games" on Microsoft and Xbox pages. The fine print specifically mentions the following:
"Stream games beyond Game Pass. Stream games that you already own and across more titles that aren't on the catalog."
Again, Microsoft hasn't officially announced anything just yet, but evidence of this has been well documented, with previous information mentioning how this is a part of a "long-running project" codenamed 'Project Lapland'. The initial set of titles may be limited to Xbox Insiders at first, before eventually rolling out to everyone.
Following a court ruling in the US last week, Microsoft announced it would start selling Xbox games "directly" on the Android app in November as well.
Would you be interested in making use of this feature? Let us know in the comments.

Nice but don't charge us a fee for it that wouldnt be nice!
@Ricky-Spanish Like Cloud it will most likely only be part of Ultimate and another reason to be on their highest tier, they likely don't need to charge more... until the next price hike.
@themightyant
Totally different subject I have just tried to call Xbox customer service after going to 4 different departments no one knew the answer to my question. They never used to be like this.
It was a simple question, you might know the answer.
UK Series x 2tb new model preorder for release 17/10/24.
Get to the checkout and gives a delivery date of 9/12/24. What’s that all about.
Microsoft surly are drowning in their own corporate size and mass.
Xbox was far better under its own totally separate division like years ago.
Customer service was one call and they knew everything.
@OldGamer999 Almost certainly one of two things, likely the first.
£600£550 (corrected) it was likely a very limited run until they saw some sales to gauge interest. It might still come sooner if they manufacture quicker.Either way good luck mate.
@OldGamer999 It would be best to discuss this in the forums as people will be able to help more and keep the conversation on topic. Thanks
The new Nintendo whatever* cannot get here fast enough so I can play all my XBOX games on it. My Series X is about to become a useless paperweight. If Sony could have figured out how to make actual new games MS would have been out of the game since Halo Infinite flopped. Been real MS, but cloud is where I check out. Bring back the fun in gaming and collecting.
@OldGamer999 If Microsoft were the only company with this problem, I would be happy. Nowadays all big companies have the same problem, the lack of knowledge from employees is ridiculous... to the point where customers have more knowledge than the employees, sadly...
Until you can stream the games you have bought/own, it will never be a real choice for even the most casual. Whilst MS remains in full control over that small library of games you can play on Cloud, the fact that they can be rotated 'out' will put people off.
Its that 'fear' of losing access to something they've been playing 'before' they are ready to move on to something else. Cloud gaming doesn't allow you to 'buy' (even with the 'Game Pass' discount) and continue playing 'via' Cloud - to build up your 'own' library alongside the 'Game Pass Cloud Library' provided by MS.
Cloud has by far the smallest Library of Games and no way to add 'others' to your Library - its much more Supplemental to Hardware - ie a Way to try games before deciding whether or not to download, a way to play games if/when you are away from your Hardware etc. So until they add the option to play Digital Games you've bought as well, it will forever be just a supplemental service....
@Kuainu
It’s just crazy that the date of release is 17/10/24.
But delivery coming up 9/12/24.
Only Xbox out of them and Sony and Nintendo can be this bad.
If you preorder a PS5 pro or any other console in the past you got it day of release.
If preorders are sold out for the day of release date, they don’t take any more preorders.
Just shows how distant Xbox have become, perhaps the USA do it this way but Europe and the UK don’t.
@themightyant It's £550 for the 2TB Xbox.
Why wouldn't you have Gamepass Ultimate? You just buy it from 3rd party like Cdkeys for £85 so just over £7 a month, it's a lot cheaper than Sonys expensive PS Premium at £120 and you get much more for your money.
I've been waiting for this feature for a long time. I'm glad it's finally happening.
@Rog-X You are right it is £550 not £600, I was thinking dollars, have fixed it. Mea culpa.
Preaching to the converted on Game Pass Ultimate, i've been a GP Ult. subscriber for years. Was just suggesting this will likely/hopefully be included on the Ultimate tier as @Ricky-Spanish had initially suggested it might be an additional payment.
@themightyant Doubt there will be any price increase, it's not like Gamepass where you are getting new games to stream each month, this is just letting you stream games you have already bought.
This'd be good to get for sure. I really hope it's something that can be super easily added to games (like the publisher just need to tick a box), as there's older games I'd love to see added to cloud where the developers have moved to other projects, etc.
