If you thought you were ready for Stalker 2, you might want to double-check because multiple Xbox Series X|S users are now reporting a new patch has been rolled out. Yes, we're talking about a completely new one!
Following yesterday's update which was around 139GB, this latest update is apparently prompting anyone with the game preinstalled to now download a 36GB update. Multiple users seem to be reporting this on Reddit and social media.
Again, there's been no official update about this latest patch from GSC Game World, but many are thinking it's probably a day one patch to iron out some bugs and various other issues.
As we've previously mentioned, large updates before the launch of select games have become quite common during the Xbox Series X|S generation, but Stalker 2 might be setting new records as it's already rolled out a few 100GB plus downloads and additional patches in between.

I’m so amped to play this tomorrow, so bring on the patches. This will be my first Stalker game.

Just hope it performs decent on series s otherwise I'll leave it till I upgrade next month I'll get the downloading started early since there's another update!
The physical version is coming for my birthday and apparently it is going to arrive on the 22nd. I am excited but can wait a couple of days, no problem. Looking forward to seeing what players and reviews have to say!
It's been fantastic to see all the love and dedication gone into stalker 2 despite current event. Heck, we're only even here talking about Xbox patches from the devs being interested in Xbox and cold emailing Phil. I'm looking forward to the release and hope the devs hard work leads to a smooth game and a lot of acclaim. They deserve it. Heck, if nothing else, I really hope that documentary blows up.
@Ricky-Spanish A few folks who received the physical version early so have been able to play have reported that the patches improve things significantly (for series x don't have any info for s.) Particularly with quality mode which they said was "choppy" originally.

Patches to improve the game are always welcome. But why get us to predownload 146GB then a couple of days later overwrite it all with another 139GB. What was even the point of the predownload at that point? This isn't the first game to do it.
Game is amazing but bit slow-pokey with XS. Isn't it it's own genre "survival shooter"? If there's something like this, would be happy to know 👍
