Bethesda's new Starfield: Shattered Space expansion is out now, and to coincide with the launch of the game's first major DLC pack, Team Xbox has dropped a brand-new dynamic background for Series X and S users to enjoy.
Just like any other Xbox Series X|S dynamic background, this is free for all players, and available now via your console customisation settings. We're seeing a few folks post a short clip of the animated background in action, so we'll drop one of those tweets down below.
This is one lovely looking background we must admit, and we're definitely tempted to apply it next time we load up our consoles! We haven't fully worked our way through the expansion just yet, but it looks like we could be in for a visual treat with this latest Bethesda effort.
As for some other Xbox dynamic backgrounds, quite a few have been added in recent months, and Microsoft doesn't always talk about them much publicly - so it's always worth a browse on your system! For a roundup of some of the team's newest additions, check out our recent collection down below.
Who else is tempted to get this one applied? Tell us what you think of it down in the comments!

Will try this tonight and also continue with the dlc.
@OldGamer999 How are you finding it so far?
Looks decent I'll stick it on my background tonight!
Looks ok. Mortismal Gaming was happy with the dlc, he just thought it was overpriced.
I'll give Starfield a go in a couple of years when I can get the complete ultimate edition for 19.99$.
@Kezelpaso
Only just about to land on the planet.
But the first part on the ship/station was great, plenary of action which I like.
I’m level 30 but doing ok so far.
@Kezelpaso
Question, I guess you can just come in and out of the dlc, fly off else where do another mission or side mission and come back to the dlc, exactly where you left off?
Like the main game itself.
Why can’t we create dynamic wallpaper with this ai talk or just add basic effects to a picture
Cool, it can replace my OG Starfield dynamic background.
Nice on the very rare occasion a dynamic background is released for a game I give a crap about. Why don’t they just have dynamic backgrounds for all games released on X/S? Can’t be that hard..
I was looking to update from the Fallout background so I think I'm gunna change to this!
