We always get a shadow drop or two at the Xbox Partner Preview events, and one of them today was a new FPS called Blindfire, which takes the form of a multiplayer arena shooter where the game is set mostly in darkness.
Available for £7.99 / $8.99 on the Xbox Store (with a free trial as well), Blindfire tasks you with either going it alone or teaming up with friends in close-quarter arenas where using your instincts is paramount if you want to win.
Obviously it's early days and we don't know how this one is faring yet, but considering it's such a cheap price and can be tried for free, we think it'll prove pretty popular! It's out now for Xbox Series X and S, and you'll find more details below.
"The pitch-black battlefields of Blindfire turn the first-person shooter genre on its head. Stalk the shadows as the tension builds, then run for cover as the shots start flying in a volley of muzzle flashes. Think you’ve got what it takes to eliminate the competition in Blindfire? Then grab your weapon and LIGHT THEM UP.
Light is a rarity in close-quarter arenas riddled with traps for intense firefights. Players must decide where and when to fire at the risk of exposing their position. Hone your senses with the room-scanning Echo mechanic to help you navigate the arena and locate your opponents."
