This one's for the Sonic fans out there! If you've been eager to get your hands on Sonic Generations since the Xbox 360 version was delisted on the Xbox Store last month, a new option has arrived in the form of a Sonic Legacy Bundle.
You'll find the Sonic Legacy Bundle on the Xbox Store for £49.99 / $59.99, and it includes six games in all:
- Sonic Adventure (+ DX Upgrade)
- Sonic Adventure 2 (+ Battle Mode DLC)
- Sonic The Hedgehog 4 - Episode 1
- Sonic The Hedgehog 4 - Episode 2
- Sonic The Fighters
- Sonic Generations (+ Casino Night DLC)
As you can see, it's not exactly a great price for these six games that have all been very cheap to acquire in the past, but considering you get the Xbox 360 version of Sonic Generations in there as well, it's worth keeping an eye out for any discounts if you're interested - we're assuming the bundle will drop significantly in value over time.
Of course, the other option is to go for Sonic X Shadow Generations, which is a remastered version of the Xbox 360 game complete with new content. That one launches for Xbox One, Series X and Series S on October 25th!

Look, I'm a Sonic sicko, but this bundle is bad. The list should read like this:
All for the bargain price of £49.99!! Just buy Sonic Generations on disc if you still haven't played it.
@Markatron84 Oi! SA2 isn't TERRIBLE, at least the majority of the Sonic and Shadow levels are okay. Plus the Chao garden is an improvement! But yeah, rest of the game is rough for sure...😏
@Broosh I put them in the same order they appear in the news story. SA2 is the pretty alright one.
@Markatron84 Oh I know. I'm a SA/DX enjoyer, had to get a jab in 😉
@Broosh
My condolences.
@Markatron84 Ditto 😆 Hey, SA made me a Sonic fan in the first place, so at least we have a common interest!
@Markatron84 you are indeed a sicko. SA1 is awesome, so is 2. Sonic the fighters is pretty cool too. What even do you like at this point.
@Markatron84 Good to meet someone with similar taste. I love Sonic, no doubt about it, but I am of the opinion there has never been a good 3D Sonic game to date. From abysmal control and basic movement to highly questionable character designs, I’ve been perpetually disappointed in Sonic’s foray into the third dimension. Thank god for fantastic 2D Sonic’s like Sonic Mania to carry me through.
They are very hopefull with that price point my god!
@Markatron84 Hey, HEY. As someone who is not a fighting game fan, Sonic Fighters is great.
Now don't get me wrong. It's not a great game, but the stupidity and wonky controls make it almost feel like a party game, especially with online play added. (Also just clarifying yes it's a bad game, but it almost gets to "so bad its good" territory.)
I want to argue for SA1&2 but I know better...
@Balaam_ Sonic Generations and Sonic Frontiers have excellent controls, basic movement and camera. Sonic Generations, in particular, is one of the most enjoyable 3D platformers I have played. I'd agree if you say so about Sonic Adventure, Sonic Heroes, Sonic The Hedgehog 2006, Sonic Forces...
@Markatron84 Does sonic generation have Caios or however u spell it liek the 2 dreamcast sonic games?
Really, this is only good for new fans, since 90% of existing fans already have what they like from this bundle and/or preordered Shadow Generations already.
@Yousef-
Good games.
@Balaam_ Yeah, Sonic's 3D games have been sporadic in quality. Anyone who goes to bat for Sonic Adventure is insane. It has terrible controls and camera.
Why can't they do this with the Backwards Sonic 1, 2, 3, & CD that were delisted for Sonic Origins? I'd buy that.
@Markatron84 so no sonic games?
@Yousef- here's how I stand on Sonic
The racing games (All-Stars, Transformed and Team Racing) are also all great.
@Markatron84 alrighty then I apologize in this case. Cuz I misjudged you and assumed you’re a troll (my definition would be someone who hates, baits, sarcastic and never has serious convos) but since I was wrong, I’ll honor your message with my own list. (I’ll copy your template if that’s fine).
Sonic 1 - good
Sonic 1 (8-bit) good
Sonic 2 - great
Sonic 2 (8-bit) - okay
Sonic Chaos - okay
Sonic Triple Trouble - okay
Sonic 3 & Knuckles - masterpiece
Sonic CD - good
Sonic Spinball - not my thing
Sonic 3D - alright
Sonic the Fighters - okay
Sonic Adventure - great
Sonic Adventure 2 - great
Sonic Advance - not my thing
Sonic Advance 2 - not my thing
Sonic Advance 3 - not my thing
Sonic Heroes - bad
Sonic '06 - never played but need to play P06
Sonic and the Secret Rings - not my thing
Sonic 4 Episode I - godawful
Sonic 4 Episode II - awful
Sonic Unleashed - love/hate relationship (no I don’t hate the werehog)
Sonic Rush - not my thing
Sonic Generations - good
Sonic Mania - least favorite 2D sonic but that’s 100% subjective and not me calling it bad. It’s an extremely sound game, but not what I wanted.
Agree on the racing games I still replay all three when I can.
It was pleasant exchanging lists.
@Yousef-
Damn right, I love lists. Are you autistic too?
@Markatron84 All you had to say was you're a Sonic fan, the rest is assumed automatically. (Note for admins this isn't an insult, I've been diagnosed with autism and love Sonic so it's a self jab more than anything.)
@Elbow as Sonic fans, we have to be able to make fun of ourselves. Lord knows everyone else will.
@Yousef- @Markatron84
Your lists stop at Mania. I'm not going to insult anyone by asking about Forces, but what did you both think about Sonic Superstars?
While by no means a full price game, I would argue that it's got some elements better than (or as good as in your case, Mark) Mania.
@kevinm360 I didn't play Superstars yet, but I'll get round to it eventually. I need to get Frontiers at some point as well.
I loved the Sonic Adventure games back on Dreamcast. Those were my games. 3D Sonic games after those pretty much sucked though.
@Markatron84 I hope you like it. It doesn't look like a classic Sonic game but more like a spiritual successor to Classic Sonic from Generations, but they've successfully recreated the physics this time around.
Its really a game of two halves with the first half rehashing what you expect from a Classic Sonic, and the second half turning expectations upside down.
Co-op is to be avoided though. Feels shoehorned as a gimmick, and the game plays much better without that.
Frontiers is a miss for me. I've played it through once and skipped the DLC. Open world Sonic results in a lot of empty space. The soundtrack is brilliant though.
@shonenjump86 Sonic Adventure is decent fun. The Xbox 360 port is based on the PC port of the Gamecube port though. There's not a lot to love about it.
@kevinm360 I'd recommend at least checking a YouTube upload of Frontiers DLC cutscenes. It's wild, and the remix is great for the final boss.
Thanks @Elbow, I will check it out on YouTube, that way I'm not missing out on this story and soundtrack haha.
@kevinm360 I'm just kind of curious about Frontiers. I've read reviews and watched gameplay videos, but I kind of just want to experience it for myself at some point. Like, what does an open world (sorry, "open zone") Sonic game play like, feel like, etc? It's dirt cheap on CDKeys at the moment so now might be the time to take the plunge. Or it would, if I hadn't just gotten utterly addicted to Helldivers 2 🤣
Avoiding co-op on Superstars won't be a problem. You need friends for co-op 🤣🤣🤣
@Markatron84 Since I haven't said anything here about the 2D titles, Sonic Superstars is great except for the boss battles and of course Sonic 3D & Knuckles is the best. I wouldn't mention the multiplayer of Sonic Superstars as a negative, just something extra to be avoided. Also, get Frontiers, it's great 3D platforming with good camera and controls, nice story and excellent music, including retro playlists. It only lacks a bit of Sonic flavour, but a sequel could become the best thing ever if the world, enemies and rails are more Sonic and less neutral.
@Markatron84 oof, that Superstars coop comment hits hard. From one to another, I'm sorry. And I live that.
