The vast majority of Assassin's Creed games run at 60FPS on at least the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S these days, but one game that strangely never got the treatment was 2015's Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
Fortunately that may be changing soon, as the outlet Aroged recently spotted a now-deleted tweet from Ubisoft Latam that referenced a new 60FPS update for the title. Here's what the Google Translated version of this tweet said:
"Which Assassin's Creed installment have you played the most times? Maybe Syndicate will be in 1st place with the new update that brings 60FPS."
As things stand, Assassin's Creed Syndicate runs at 30FPS across Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, so a boost to 60 should feel very noticeable - and it's an AC game that's become a favourite for many fans over the years.
We'll obviously let you know if this gets confirmed in the near future, and don't forget there's more Assassin's Creed goodness still to come this year in the form of Shadows, which launches for Series X and Series S this November.
Would you go back and play Syndicate at 60FPS on Xbox? Let us know in the comments below.

YES! YES! M.Bison Exclaiming YES! for a third time. LOL
It would be a nice excuse to play it again.
Would be nice. Do Unity next, it was a technical travesty at launch that rightly got called out, but behind that was a solid game that deserves a bit more praise.
It will be nice, but Watch Dogs 2 should get the same treatment, not only with a 60 fps option, but also improving resolution on xbox consoles. It's a blurry mess right now.
@themightyant Hasn't Unity already been updated or am I misremembering?
The tweet doesn't seem to reference XBOX specifically. I wonder what platforms this may include.
Hey while you’re there, do you mind picking me up a Wildlands 60fps patch?
Pointless doing that for a dead game!
Let's give credit to Ubisoft for boosting the FPS on older titles on consoles. Other companies don't even bother with the paid FPS/resolution option. Ubsifoft is still a very flawed company and that's being diplomatic.
@evan23 I probably missed it!
EDIT: I can't seem to find news of a 60fps patch only people playing the unpatched 1.0 version at higher framerates. But perhaps my googling skills aren't up to snuff.
@evan23 @themightyant Yes, Unity has supported 60fps on Series S/X for a few years now, as part of the FPS Boost program.
@smoreon Ah! thanks. It's part of FPS Boost, that's why I couldn't find patch info. Though i'd still like an official patch as they can up the resolution from 900p as boost mode uses the OG XBO settings.
@themightyant Yeah, that is a shame. It is significantly higher on PS5/PS4 Pro. Outside of PC, that has always been the best place to play Syndicate.
Yes! Please! I beg!
Black Flag and Syndicate are the only Assassin's Creed games that still run at 30fps on Xbox. I welcome this update with open arms. Regarding Black Flag, I have mentioned it for a long time, there are reliable rumours saying that is being remade. Basically, people related to Ubisoft.
This is nice, but a resolution increase would be even better. Syndicate doesn't look great at 900p.
Maybe, but Black Flag in 60fps would be an instant buy.
