Welcome to a new Xbox Game Pass update! Today, we have a couple of additions to the service - one full game in Mafia: Definitive Edition and one brand-new EA Play trial with Madden NFL 25 (for Game Pass Ultimate members).
Here's a quick introduction to today's new Xbox Game Pass offerings:

Mafia doesn't seem to be up yet.
I remember when we did mafia for game club, might have been the push square game club but I did play it on Xbox.
Man was it hard in classic mode lol. I had to swap to modern for a particularly frustrating part of the game!
For the gampass price increase its been pathetic really

The Racecar segment was bull! Had to do it 8 times before I finally won.
Tried it, got to chapter: Sarah,completed the chapter. The game is just boring.
It's nothing like you (purexbox) said the other day. It isn't like GTA at all.
You literally go from one mission to the next. There's no "my own pace, drive around, walk around, see the sights" during the game. For that you have to quit and choose that mode.
Thank jeebus this was a game pass title. I'd have been pissed had I spent $40+tax
@Spider-Kev couldn't disagree more. It clearly apes GTA, even though there are major differences. The gameplay is similar; the driving and shooting mechanics. It differs in that it is designed as a more linear experience. A relatively short, story focused game set in a tightly authored game world. I think it's excellent. I also managed the race section first time without too much difficulty. I thought that was great fun. And Pure Xbox was very clear in their article the other day that it ISN'T an open world game like GTA and you don't go off and explore and do a load of side content. And they even mentioned that the Free Roam mode is indeed a separate game mode.

I was first place most of the three laps.
The bump towards the end is what killed me. I wound up flipping and landing upside down every time on only the last lap.
I ran that bump in the other laps and nothing happened.

That's fine they say it, but I didn't read most of it because I wanted to go in blind.
I hate knowing too much about a game, show, movie before I watch it, otherwise, what's the point.
My point of contention is that they said it was like GTA.
Then you say that they said it really wasn't, so why bother saying it in the first place?

No, it isn't (or wasn't) listed in the "New to game pass" section.
You have to go to the store and type it in.
