Rockstar's 'Bully' Hits The Headlines Over Possible Xbox Remaster, But Don't Get Your Hopes Up

Update: Rockstar's new FAQ for Bully on GTA+ mentions that the Xbox version will be delivered via backwards compatibility, which again suggests that we won't be seeing any kind of new port or remaster in this case.

"Players on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One can download and play Bully: Scholarship Edition via Xbox backward compatibility."

Original story: Over the weekend, there was a lot of talk about the possibility of an Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S remaster for Rockstar's classic Bully game from the Xbox 360 era, but although we'd love to see it, we don't think it's happening.

The reasoning is solid - it's just been rated in Taiwan for a whole bunch of modern systems out of the blue. Does that mean a new port is in the works? Possibly, although the picture below doesn't really tell the full story:

As mentioned by Gematsu in their post that's been attracting all the attention, Bully is joining Rockstar's GTA+ service on Tuesday which allows members to play certain games at no extra charge across a variety of consoles and devices.

With that in mind, it seems there's simply work being done behind the scenes to prepare its arrival. That could signify we're getting a new port that doesn't rely on backwards compatibility, but a remaster seems pretty unlikely.

In any case, we'd love to see this game get a glow-up at some point - surely it would be a massive hit!
