Warhorse Studios has today announced a delay to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2; the team's upcoming RPG sequel heading to Xbox Series X|S. Originally scheduled for this year, the game will now arrive on February 11, 2025.
We've not seen too much on this title since its big reveal earlier this year, but that will change very soon. The team says we can expect a "20+ min gameplay showcase" at Gamescom this year, with more to follow between now and the game's February launch.
Back in June, around the time of the game's reveal, Microsoft's Xbox Series S console came under fire for apparently affecting the overall scope of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. We'll have to see how this ultimately affects the final product next year, with the team reportedly capping the sequel at being "25% bigger" due to Series S limitations.
If you want a bit more detail on that drama we'll throw a link to the report down below, and of course, the game's reveal trailer is viewable up above to get you in the mood for its Gamescom appearance next week.
Is this one still on your radar with its new February launch date? Drop your thoughts down in the comments.

Wow. It's really gone from where am I going to find the time to play all the games to what am I going to play. KCD2 and Avowed were the 2 was most excited for this year.
And yet another game delay as the usual game delay season starts for the next 3 months.
It’s becoming such an annual event I think Geoff should host a show case on it around late October time 🤣
I wonder if all these new delays are because the games aren’t finished or because the developers don’t want to release into a crowded marketplace? Either way, I’ll still get to play them in the end so I’m not too fussed.
Right next to Avowed. Interesting.

Wait, no mention of this being the sole fault of the Series S. This is outrageous 😅.
