Quite recently, SEGA announced that it was finally returning to the Jet Set Radio IP after a long hiatus, but that doesn't stop fans clamouring for Jet Set Radio Future to make some sort of return. The original Xbox classic is still stuck on that machine — it's not backwards compatible with modern consoles — yet a new social media post from Xbox Mexico has fans hoping for some sort of announcement.
As part of a summer-themed post on Instagram, Xbox Mexico included a random clip of Jet Set Radio Future in the five games it showed off. Funnily enough, the rest were images, while this JSRF mention was a clip from back in the day.

The account also responded to an enthusiastic fan with the comment "we are going to reconquer Tokyo" - which has now been gathered, along with the initial socials post, by some followers over on Reddit. We must admit, we think this is all just a bit of a random post by Xbox Mexico and likely means nothing regarding the game's future, but still, let the fans speculate, right?!
Room to speculate there is, too. Last year, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer talked about Jet Set Radio Future and his desire for it to return in some way - right around the time Hi-Fi RUSH was dropping similar vibes on Xbox. Again, it's a stretch — a big stretch — but who knows what's in store for this SEGA classic down the road.
Anyway, we wouldn't advise getting your hopes up on this yet, especially with the original game's Xbox 360 port now delisted and SEGA working on a new entry in the series. Hey, at least we're getting more Jet Set Radio in some fashion!
