Early Alpha testing has just kicked into gear for Delta Force: Hawk Ops on PC, and early impressions seem super positive for the upcoming military FPS reboot. Incorporating traditional multiplayer FPS elements and modern extraction shooter modes, this new title is being heavily compared to DICE's long-running Battlefield series - and it's looking like it could provide some real competition in the genre.
Now, it is early days for this new Delta Force title right now; we're only in the Alpha stage with two main modes at the moment. Even so, players seem surprised by how polished the game feels at this stage - we'll drop some of their early impressions down below:
While this early build of the game only focuses on two game modes ā Hazard Operations and Havoc Warfare ā the team is also developing a single-player campaign for the title. We're not sure how this will be delivered as the multiplayer side of things will supposedly be free-to-play on PC and console, but we're definitely looking forward to seeing how a proper story campaign will be integrated into Delta Force: Hawk Ops.
If you're interesting in trying the game out on PC, you can request access to the Delta Force Alpha right now on Steam, ahead of the game's full launch. We're more interested in the Xbox version of course, so we'll be on the look out for updates on the console versions in the coming weeks and months.
