So, Xbox developer Treyarch has just lifted the lid on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies, and there's a megaton of information to digest about the game mode right now. However, one feature that's sticking out to us already is that the entire thing is playable in third-person - a first for Call of Duty Zombies.
Yep, we've seen limited third-person modes pop up in various parts of past Call of Duty games, but it's a rare feature - and the franchise typically sticks to pure first-person shooting. But, thanks to a laundry list of quality-of-life improvements for Black Ops 6 Zombies, players can simply toggle third-person mode at any time during gameplay.
This is part of Treyarch's mission to make the mode much more customisable in Black Ops 6. You can completely swap around the UI to your liking — with past game presets available — and there's even the option to save and quit during solo matches if you'd like to come back later and finish the job. This is something we'd have loved back in the OG Black Ops days!
Anyway, we're glad you can now pause in solo, alongside being able to make those crucial UI tweaks and even play in third-person if you fancy it - the whole mode feels much more feature-complete here and almost like a full game in its own right. Zombies fans, you might want to get downloading this one on Xbox Game Pass this October.
